Vanity: Something To Speculate. Is Marco Rubio Secretly Running For Vice-President?

Posted on 01/31/2015 7:45:58 PM PST by Cruz_West_Paul2016

Marco Rubio For President? Sounds like a long shot, right?,Could this be Rubio's "Operation VP" plan? Just go ahead and run for President knowing his chances are 1 in 10, but also aware that his chances of being the VP pick may be closer to 1 in 3. But there is one benefit, it may be worth it being we have to win Florida! Rubio should stay within the top five throughout the primaries and when Walker or Cruz wins, he knows he will be on the short list. Do most of us agree?

The point of sending them up there isn’t ‘who can pass the most legislation’

I’m a fan of Rubio, Cruz and Paul but I’d like them to serve at least one term as Governor of their respective states.

Apparently, you believe time is of no matter. Hillary is a known killer of Our United States of America... the simple minded believe, that tomorrow is just another day. Advance your position to proactive defense. Think again. Try hard.

i dont know what he’s decided. i would guess he will be running for both positions once he sees that he has no chance of being president, then waits to see if hes the VP.

I am not interested in Rubio in any elected office.

From an objective standpoint, as I prefer neither (well especially not Bush III), I don’t understand why the GOPe would choose to back Bush over Rubio. Rubio is younger, arguably more charismatic, and he doesn’t have the last name Bush. Rubio would have a far better shot again Clinton in the general. Bush Dynasty vs Clinton Dynasty and Clinton will win easy. That’s a no-brainer. And yet...the mega-bundlers are heaving their cash at Bush III, go figure.

Me either. Beyond his position and disingenuousness on illegal immigration, he speaks like a kindergarten teacher on the most trite platitudes based on his parents’ immigrant experience. And that’s supposed to make him a statesman and orator?

Walker/Rubio is now an inevitability, I’m afraid.

The Kochs want it, and so it will be. All we can do now is look for reasons to support Walker, while we wear Cruz’ picture in our locket.

There is absolutely no reason to support Walker. He is the worst of all the bad candidates on amnesty and illegal immigration. If he wins the presidency, this country as we know it is gone.

I’m not liking it, either, and depressed to have to forecast it.

I don’t think your assessment is that far off. Jeb is apparently plan A, but they’re trying to position Walker as the conservative/tea party alternative in case bit players like Carson fail in dividing enough of that deluded conservative/tea party vote or if Jeb just really flops.

But this is GOPe orchestrated all the way.

Yes.... it is. Now Walker’s trying to wear some Ted Cruz, I pinged you to the article. I just want to strangle Rush.

Exactly. Rush’s gushing this week gave Walker a monstrous boost.

This subject came up last night..we were out with a group and many thought Rubio was running or would be the VP nom. Also most liked Walker, seems he is gaining with the regular voters.
Cruz needs more time and of course no one would vote for Paul.

Good point...Cruz needs more time. He is solid in my book but as an executive he needs to build a record and a team.

You are going to be VERY disappointed with ANY of our candidates on immigration you had better come to the realization that NOT ONE candidate will be sending the millions here home!!!!! All WE can hope for at this point is a locked down border with legal immigration!!!!!

It’s over. Romney is giving him his 20 points and endorsement.

Although I think Cruz and Netenyahu can wake people up to our situation on March 3. Walker can’t crash *that* party.
