All the reliance on the Edwards polling data shows that this write’s arrogance has blinded him. The 2008 election was incredibly fluid , with McCain -Palin building to a lead just before the financial collapse. The polling before Palin went on the ticket reflected McCain’s lack of appeal to the Republican base. The media liked the maverick act, Republicans did not.

We’ll once again destroy our own GOP presidential candidates in 2016, just as we did in 2012. I still remember the reasons many FReepers castigated all of our candidates in 2012:
* “They’re just not ready for prime-time.”
* “They’ve never been a governor.”
* “They’re not conservative enough.”
* “The media will destroy them”
Frankly, I don’t think the Democrats are even sweating the 2016 elections; they know we’ll instinctively destroy our own.

A rock star she is not, but then again, look at what the media “moderator” did in the last presidential debate and in prior debates to give democrats an advantage in public opinion.
Personally, she is unelectable to me, but I am not the coalition that Salon is lusting after her appealing to.
