Sarah Palin is Nothing More Than a Sad, Pathetic Has Been That Really Never Was (Can't u see it?)

Sarah Palin is quite possibly one of the most polarizing people in politics. Whenever I write anything about her, it undoubtedly leads to people going off about, “Why are you giving this idiot attention? If you would ignore her she’d go away!” And while I understand why people get sick of hearing about her nonsense, the fact is she’s still somewhat influential when it comes to conservative politics.

But my question to that is, “Why?”

What the hell is it about this woman that conservatives seek out? Even after countless hours of political coaching following her disastrous showing in the 2008 presidential election, she still can’t give an interview without looking like a complete idiot.

Sarah Palin is really nothing more than has been that never really was.

It was clear John McCain only picked her in a desperate hope to lure some of the female vote to his side during the 2008 election. Obama was headed toward an easy victory and “throwing a hail Mary” was pretty much the only thing McCain could do.

Now, to her credit, before that she was the governor of Alaska. But she quit before her first term was even finished. Not exactly someone I would look to for leadership and “getting the job done.” She essentially went from obscurity to fame, couldn’t handle the scrutiny, then quit because it got a little too difficult for her to deal with.

Since then she’s not ran for a single public office. She likes to portray herself as this great leader who knows everything – yet outside of her failed reality TV show (and her newest one which will surely fail as well) what the hell has she done since she quit her job as governor of Alaska?

Sure she’s been an on again, off again contributor for Fox News, but they seem to mostly keep her around to provide a ratings spike every now and then. She’s not exactly someone they see as a “go-to” expert on any particular topic. Mainly because she’s not an expert on anything, aside from maybe shooting wolves from a helicopter.

Honestly, what is she? I’d say she’s a pathetic narcissist who’s bought into her own mental delusions about who she is. Sure, she’s great at pandering to people who applaud statements that make absolutely no sense, but fooling a bunch of sheep who lack the ability to think for themselves doesn’t exactly take much intelligence – and Palin clearly lacks intelligence.

Yes she goes around and gives speeches, but on what? She tried some sort of bus tour a few years ago that lasted I think all of four days before quitting that as well after embarrassingly reciting a completely inaccurate telling of the story of Paul Revere.

Palin could easily run for office again, and if she’s as great as she seems to think that she is, what’s holding her back?

Well, that’s simple – reality. See, that’s the funny thing about reality, it’s real whether certain people want to believe in it or not.

In her mind Sarah Palin probably thinks she would be a wonderful president and great leader. Though the reality is she’s one of the least popular political figures in this country. She’s a quitter and hasn’t done anything significant in politics in nearly five years. The honest truth is, Sarah Palin is really just a pathetic has been that really never was.

Progressives just don’t get it. They can’t understand why so many people see her wisdom and realism in a world of sham and illusion. They believe they have pegged her—but they have not—they believe their own elite image of the world (a brave new world) and her (a Bimbo News weathergirl who fooled Alaska into the Governors office—then quit when it got to hard). They don’t understand why she doesn’t just lay down and become the has been—they believe she is. How could she be anything but—shes a Christian bigot after all? They do not know her nor do they know the sort of people Alaska produces. She isn’t the Tina Fey cartoon they constructed. They know not what they do.

True, I have learned a lot about “projection” in the last several years. One of the Alinsky planks talks about personal attacks on an individual to destroy them. I think Palin has more backbone than the leftists and they know it.

Funny thing, the Left keeps writing about this irrelevant woman.

Sarah Palin is a galvanizing folk hero whose honesty and compassion resonates with American patriots. We have Sarah and you don’t.

I totally agree.

Senate GOP elites tried to muzzle Cruz by telling him that he was too new to be making such a fuss about things.

I think they were envious because they were no longer the focus of the media.

However, Cruz was undaunted .. and just kept on sticking it to the left .. that is a steel spine .. and I’d love for him to be president.

Did you know Cruz was the Solicitor General of TX, and was the person who argued before the Supreme Court in Bush v. Gore ..?? When I found that out .. I totally understood why the left (and even the GOP elites) HATED Cruz.

But why should we be surprised that someone who writes for some rag called “Forward Progressive” would see her in the same way a vampire sees a Cross?

Of course they will mock and belittle her. They’re Communists!

They’re not afraid of the “useful idiots” of the GOP. They’ve been taking them to the cleaners for decades now.

Sarah Palin and her like-minded conservatives, all young and full of ideas, are a direct threat to the utopia they’ve bought hook, line and sinker. So attack her they will. But she’s tough enough to deal with a dweeb like Allen Clifton. I’m pretty sure of that.

That was my first thought as I was reading through all the glop and nonsense. As soon as I
substituted “Obama” for Sarah Palin, it all just meshed perfectly into truth instead of fiction.

Good job, caver.

Oh, Lordy. Somebody change his diaper before he messes it anymore than he already has.

Brainwashed and stupid is no way to go through life, Allen. You know nothing but your
extensive Marxist programming from the Alinskyites in your schools, ya little pink-cheeked
commie rat.

I’ll never forget that out of the 2008 election ashes, Palin never wavered, for many months she was alone in the conservative fight, as she kept fighting and surviving, other conservative republicans started coming out of the 2008 ashes and standing a little taller, started taking positions, speaking against the wind that was all left, all Obama, at the time, then the tea party started coming together.

Without Palin, we conservatives would not be where we are today.

Sarah Palin is living rent free for life. Who wouldn’t want that to have that kind of effect on liberals?

Not, actually, either original or well-written, but a mindless parroting of the usual litany of complaints. We don't even reach those before encountering the real problem:

What the hell is it about this woman that conservatives seek out?

Well, Allen, you might ask an intelligent conservative who does, to find out. If you know one. Which you don't.

The problem is that having posted that question, you define the only possible answers, dismiss them one after another, and conclude that all that's left is that such conservatives are stupid. Which was, after all, your starting assumption anyway. Were you to ask an intelligent conservative you might find that rhetorical question has a real answer that you have not dismissed.

It's simply this: conservatives feel that the government is big, unwieldy, over-intrusive and overbearing. One thing Palin did accomplish in her time in the Alaska statehouse was to cut through a layer of Establishment to do precisely that.

Secondly, Palin argues in favor of pro-life sentiments that most progressives dismiss as airily as you just did her intelligence, and with equal lack of validity. She walked the walk, nurtured her baby instead of murdering him, and continues to act as a living rebuke to those who think of him merely as damaged flesh, unworthy of the company of enlightened progressives.

Thirdly and most fundamentally, Palin is opposition, and progressives cannot conceive of disagreement with them as anything other than evil. It is a particularly blindered and immature approach to politics that is attractive to the young and ignorant because it is easily grasped and saves the believer the trouble of rational thought about his or her own positions. I am not your enemy, Allen, but you are mine, and that's really too bad because you've run out of what has been, until now, a nearly indistinguishable fund of tolerance. Things are about to get as rough for your side of the fence as you've been making it for ours.
