I have been siding with Jews in International issues since I was in high school 50 years ago, but I am now done with them. They overwhelmingly vote DemoRat and helped elect an antisemite President here. So, they are on their own as far as I am concerned. Screw them.
Instead of “screwing” the Jews (or any other group) we need to argue, convince and TRY to show them the error of their ways. I have succeeded in convincing family members, who voted (unfortunately) for Obama in 2008 to drop him in 2012. As a Jew, there is always hope but not the Obamian HOPE...
As recently as the 1950s, there were quotas at major universities that restricted the admission of Jews - my own family dentist had to go to another country to learn dentistry - there were many areas where they couldn’t by homes, and major companies that wouldn’t hire Jews. Add to that hotels that wouldn’t accept them as guests and country clubs they could not join.
All of this was perceived as the action and mindset of a Protestant Republican establishment. The Dems positioned themselves as welcoming immigrants and being for the underdog.
I'm with you. I will continue to support Israel and conservative Jews here in the US. The rest can go play in the street.
