Mikey doesn’t know how it works. Half the Dems in the Senate breathed a sigh of relief when Reid saved them from having to explain to their constituents why they voted their civil rights away. He wants an uprising? He may just get one.
My thought as well. Reid simultaneously put the emphasis on himself (and killing an AWB helps him in Nevada) and spared the Dems a tough vote that would have definitely failed after a sizable group of Dem senators voted their reelection and not their Party’s agenda.
This is all political theater. I’m also convinced that Moore is part of it. He’s doing exactly what the Dems need - directing the anger at Reid while deflecting it from Red and Purple State Dems.
And everyone should know that the Dems are paying attention to what happened in NY, where Cuomo’s approval with Republicans has collapsed. Cuomo’s in a nice safe Blue state. There are not only Red states but Purple ones where Dems need GOP and Conservative-leaning Independent crossover to win. I think this ensures a Cucinnili (sp?) victory in VA, for instance.
