exactly. if Perrybots somehow were to shush SP out of the primary, you would have a very bad situation with SP supporters. There would be very bad blood because this would be seen as grossly unfair, somehow rigging the system.

Likewise, i want all comers in for Sarah, because when she beats them fair and square, their supporters will be more appreciative of Sarah. I think very few SP supporters want a coronation. In fact, I want to see a hard fight, because when we go against Obozo and his acorn goons, things will be rough. And if Perry cant beat dumb as a bag of hammers Sarah, what kind of president will he make? Sure in 2012 anyone but David Duke will beat Obozo but let a real primary flesh it out.

Years ago the party bosses picked the nominees (so i am told by history books). Is it possible that system is returning, only now it is the Beltway media, big donors etc who also have voices besides party apparatchiks and their push pollers? LET US HAVE REAL PRIMARIES-—punduts and polls DO NOT replace primaries. Our candidate will be stronger going thru a competitive primary.

PS: If it is between Perry and Romney, dont worry, Perry will win. Win or lose Sarah or Rick will be better by facing each other. Between sarah, rick and mitt, i dont know, but i dont think it will be mitt. Most SP supporters will not go Mitt.

Really this is so ridiculous. Are you really that naiive? No i dont think you are. But you are peddling a prediction of 2012 primary votes as fact in Sept 2011. 2008 was Hilary vs Guliani at this point. Maybe that’s why i dont believe your polls that say SP cant win. Maybe she has just begun to fight. The polls that count start in january.

What a joke!

Your complete lack of understanding of demographic statistics enables them to present a cartoon for your consumption, and you swallow it in one gulp.

Missing is the qualification session that was used to sort out the ‘undesirable’ respondents on the fly as the poll is conducted. That is the key to these push-polls. (of course, once they have established a suitable roster of respondents, nothing prevents them from re-using it ad infinitum)

Of course it fits your desires so it must be right.

Its really quite simple.

All of the polls do this to some degree. They employ control questions prior to the published portion of the poll, and those questions are how they decide which respondents are to be allowed to complete the poll. This is where all of the bias is, not in the specs that are released WRT the sampling profile.

The profile could be quite reasonable, yet with the control questions it can be completely defeated.

And you know it is a "push-poll" exactly why? Because that is what you want it to be? Wishing and reality are two different things.

I am completely knowledgeable of the impact of demographics and how push polling is done, but because I don't agree with results, doesn't automatically make the poll I am reading a push-poll, it just means I don't like the results. Neither does that necessarily make the poll accurate. Polls are just polls, but this is not the first poll to indicate that there is significant resistance to Sarah being President. Her negatives are significantly higher than anyone else is experiencing.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it false. We need only wait. The answer will present itself over the next year.

You see the difference between you and me is that I don't care whether to poll is right or wrong. To me it is just another data point to be taken into consideration--apparently to you it is a matter of life and death. I thought polls were for "strippers and tents." Why so hysterical?

Note that in the ABC poll of the same period plus one day, Palin is now in third after Romney and Perry at 14% and trending up. Bachmann down to 8%.

Three years ago when McCain picked Sarah we had just moved from of Wasilla to “outside”. I was at the vets office and someone saw my Alaskan license plate. She walked back and said omg you are from the state that is giving us Sarah. We got to talking and I told her that we lived in Wasilla and had lived there for years. She asked me what she was like. I told her that she was like that person in high school that was perfect, perfect hair, perfect clothes, perfect family and you hated her for it thinking that she must be a total B. Then when you met her you realized that you were the B for thinking that, because she is the nicest person that you will ever meet. The smiles are not fake, the nice isn’t fake, the sincerity isn’t fake, she is just the nicest person. Then you talk to her and see that it isn’t just the surface, she isn’t just a pretty face, she is smart as a whip. I think that people don’t? can’t? won’t? admit that they were the petty ones for thinking these things in the first place. JMHO

You know, you don’t have to be so damn snotty! My main point was that polls can change. I DID NOT say anything about being suspicious of the poll. I just pointed out that both Mitt & Bachmann have been on top but no longer are. Sheesh, not too long ago no one thought 0bama could be beat. Nobody anticipated such a rout in congress, though even left-leaning pundits figured we’d pick up seats. God forbid anything like it would ever happen again but if there were something like 9/11 a few months the country could rally around the president (as they did with Bush) and 0bama could be re-elected regardless of who our nominee is.

However, there have been many, many polls about many, many things that people here have considered suspect for a variety of reasons. But I’ve never posted one thing to you, ever prior to this and don’t think the vitriol you spewed at me was in any way equal to the tone of my post to you. If you look at my posting history, even though I support Palin (should she get in) Perry is my second choice even though I’m still learning about him. Of course, as you Perry supporters are fond of telling people on Palin threads, you aren’t doing him any favors acting like an ass. I’ve never been unreasonable, though I’ve occasionally been passionate. Whether she runs or not, I admire Palin because she’s been out there taking all the flak while defending conservatives.

But hey, keep up that graceful winning personality. Flies and honey and all that.

If you post a snarky comment, you are likely to get a "snotty' comment back, though I don't think my attitude was nearly as snarky as your comeback. Let me refresh your memory as to what you commented and to what I replied.

No politician in the history of elections had been top dog, a shoe-in and then had that change in even as little as a week or two. Nope, never happened to Bachmann or Perry. And those polls that say Ron Paul is the clear winner, unlike every poll you’re citing those are the ones that aren’t true."

AS for my "snotty" response, part was born out of my irritation and frustration of trying to interact intelligently with people who repeatedly and intentionally mischaracterize what I post and then attack the straw man thus created, or draw non-sequitur conclusion and then attack me for those.

I've come to realize that there can be no intelligent, rational dialogue with a great many Palin supporters just as there can never be one with a Paul supporter.

If you can't divorce your emotions from your candidate, you can't be expected to discuss them rationally. When you get defensive over a factual statement, then you have become too emotionally attached to your candidate.

It's difficult to hold a rational dialogue with a liar and a cultist. Paul is nuts and most of his followers appear to suffer the same affliction.

Perry is less of a Democrat opportunist than Paul is a libertarian opportunist. Paul is a hypocrite who denounced Reagan and the Republican Party and is now attempting to wrap himself in Reagan's mantle.

Paul is a liar distorting Perry's record for political gain. He has lied about Perry's "support" for Hilary care and lied about Perry's history as a conservative Democrat. He offered money to prositutes in a vain attempt to get them to smear Perry.

Paulis a desperate, petty, hateful old fool who has never had popular support and was never going to be elected as President. He's a punchline to a joke.

So no, you don't have the right to a rational dialogue, you began with a lie and you support an idiot who thinks that a nuclear armed Iran is a good idea.

Respect is earned and dishonesty is not the path to earning respect.
