I'm curious whether the mayor is alledged to be "mobbed up". Last I heard, Providence is known for its excellent restaurants and for its remaining mobsters.

The mayor isn't "mobbed up" in the normal sense.i.e. with organized crime.He has his own criminal network and is under indictment and awaiting trial this April in US District Court on RICO charges.This creep has an unbelievable history-he stepped down in 1984 after being convicted of a felony.He later got the record expunged and ran again.And won again.He was originally Republican but has been an independent for years.O'Reilly only had to endure this scumbag for about 20 minutes.We in Providence have this guy all day every day.I never voted for him.The two opponents he is facing are a "mobbed up"homosexual lawyer who is a leadng figure in the local ACLU and a diehard enemy of 2nd amendment rights;and a communist America-hater from the Green party.What a fun election we have to look forward to!!
