"Complete piece"...that's better than just a normal piece. Wonder what complete piece of what Israel has to give up to get complete piece.

These Arabs are a complete joke and what they SAY should be completely disregarded.

What's the problem with establishing a Palestinian state with a divided Jerusalem as the capital of both Palestine and Israel?

Saudi Arabia's foreign minister offered Israel "complete peace from Arab nations" in exchange for Israeli withdrawal from Arab lands

Don't they consider all of what is Israel to be Arab lands?

There is nothing new here. This is the same tune the Arabs have been singing for 35 years. Now it's trotted out again as if it's some wonderful new idea and nobody has been paying attention to what's actually been going on for the last half-century.

If Israel actually accepted this tired old offer, it would change nothing -- other than to set the stage for a repeat of the 1967 war, of course. The Arabs want a "do-over" because they lost that war despite how nearly indefensible the pre-1967 borders were. Their track record is clear and consistent enough already; bending over one more time will not gain Israel any respect in the Middle East.

He called on Israel to withdraw from Arab territory captured in war and grant "the legitimate rights of the Palestinians, including the creation of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. If it does that it will be met with complete peace from Arab nations."

Dont do it Israel.

"complete peace from Arab nations"

If Saudi has that much influence over all the Arab nations then they are part of the terrorism problem. Why don't they offer to stop terrorism from all Arab nations?

I think the only way to get peace is to separate the Israelis and the Palestinians. Then build a buffer zone 20 miles wide between them and fill it with land mines, sensors and razor wire. These two kids are NEVER going to live in peace. Israel will continue to be a productive republic while the "new" palestine will become just another third world islamic cesspool, like all the rest of them.

Saudi Arabia's foreign minister offered Israel "complete peace from Arab nations" in exchange for Israeli withdrawal from Arab lands and the creation of an independent Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital.

This is a sham. The Arabs consider all of Israel to be Arab land, and their idea of "complete peace" with Israel is for the Israelis to go away. To Palm Beach, New York, Hell, it doesn't matter.

But of course, the fools in the media will trumpet this as groundbreaking and, as surely as the sun rises in the morning, will denounce Ariel Sharon for rejecting such a generous offer. Then again, the liberals fail to appreciate the fact that if the Jews ever left the Middle East, the Arabs would go right back to cutting their own throats.

How can the Saudis offer "complete peace?" Can they promise to stop Hamas? Unless Saudi Arabia is behind all of the attacks, it can't offer peace.

The only complete peace in this world is in the grave. I suspect that's what the lying scum are really offering.

I think it's interesting to note that it's Arab states, the PLO and their allies that are so interested in finding a negotiated solution at the moment.

Could it be that it's because the terrorists in the occupied terrritories are being defeated and because our war on terrorism is prohibiting anyone from coming to their defense? Is this desperation?

Isn't it odd that the only nation the Prince hasn't called is ISRAEL?

Wouldn't it make sense to offer the deal to the Jews themselves?

If the prince can't bear to talk to a real Jew now, why will he later?

What would you do with a three dollar bill and a Saudi promise?

How would peace with Saudia be any different than war with Saudia? Do you think they'll allow a synagogue?

Why not offer G-d's borders? From the meditteranean to the Nahar Pras?

Peace and Safety!! Yippee!!

I Thess 5:3 "For when they shall say, Peace and Safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

"Saudi Arabia's foreign minister offered Israel 'complete peace from Arab nations' in exchange for Israeli withdrawal from Arab lands and the creation of an independent Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital."

The only "complete" peace is death.

And the PLO and Hamas and the rest of the murderous crew are not "Arab nations", so the offer is bootless: it offers nothing in exchange for all.

influential Arab moderates have welcomed the Saudi proposal

Arab moderates ... Arab moderates ... Arab moderates ...
Where have they been denouncing the sep 11 attack?

Arab moderates ...
Isn't this a contradiction in terms? An oxymoron?
After all they are not opposed to JIHAD, are they?

No, I think the Saudi oil fields need new management.

With this latest statement of the Saudi peace "plan," the Arabs are demonstrating already how unreliable their promises to Israel would be. First, the "plan" came with a promise of normalized relations with the Saudis emphasizing the word "normalized." Now, the promise is merely "complete peace." If Israel is forced into this agreement, how long will it be before "complete peace" becomes "semblance of peace" and finally extermination of Israel and its Jewish inhabitants. The world of Islam has no more intention of living in peace with Israel and its Jews, than it has of living in peace with the Christians and animists of Sudan, the Catholics and Orthodox Christians of the Balkans, the Hindus of India, the Christians of Indonesia, the Christians of the Phillipines, and so on and so on in every corner of the world where Islam brushes against something different than itself.

I think that the course that Israel is on now is the best one given the constraints of Barak's legacy to Sharon and our (and Israel's) interest in establishing conditions that are favorable for toppling regimes in Iraq and Iran. Little by little, Israels actions in Gaza are reducing it to a Hobbesian state. If need be, the same will be done to the West Bank. This approach will cause Israel far less trouble than re-occupying the territories. A policy of giving the Pallies the conditions in which they will exterminate each other is a good policy.

Al-Faisal said Abdullah and Mubarak have spoken at length on the initiative and both sides shared alarm at "Palestinian bloodshed."

Not much concern about Israeli blood.

Screw them.

Why should Israel give up land it won during wars of Arab agression??
