I would think that, it being Texas and all, the woman was probably white and the victim a non-white. Otherwise, I just cannot see this woman being allowed out on $10,000 bail. Hopefully, they will both be found to be purple and we will all be wrong.

I just saw the news video, and I stand corrected. She appears to be African-American, the victim (a homeless man) was Caucasian. Her attorney is African-American. This is so sad. What a statement on humanity. Why in the world was this woman released on bail? What hospital did she work for? Sick, sick, sick. She makes Nurse Ratchett look like Florence Nightengale.

What a shock. The very fact that the AP failed to mention the races involved made it fairly obvious what the mix was. I wonder if journalists even intentionally and consciously manipulate this way. Perhaps they are just so ingrained with the "whitey is evil" view that it's all instinctual.

I agree that my post was a gross underexageration of concerns which should be expressed. Only 2-4 posts had hit when I read the article and was dumbfunded. I also assumed the article to be accurate, which the more I consider it, I suspect there is a lot that isn't getting reported or else all involved in the conspiracy and the crime are guilty as sin and need to be locked up without bail. BTW, after working with some professionals in healthcare who were not Christian, I became convinced that a hospital is the last place I'd ever want to be if I was incapacitated.

One has to be unrecognizably callous to actually perform what is reported. Equally as callous would be anybody assisting in the coverup.

I still believe people do things for a reason and even in the mechanics of something so gruesome, there's plenty of room where events would take widely divergent paths from the report.

The report sounds bogus. Maybe the hit and run, maybe the attempt to escape accountability, maybe the complete disregard for fellow man, but death up front, staring one in the face, in their car front seat, interfering with their ability to drive,...heck, what did she do? Get out with the car running, open the garage door, get back in, drive in, move a few things around, close the door???? How did she keep him from awaking, making noise to expose her predicament/...hell, his predicament....

No,...other bits of info get dropped flippantly. She's high on drugs? She would have been more likely to drive her car into a lake than what she did. Drug deal gone bad? Devil worship??? This is just too bizarre.

It's not like she just turned he corner, into her open garage, hopped out shut the door and left until a party a couple a days later, just happened to bring it up and oh, by the way would yall care to help me with this little problem I have????If this is it, then it's open and shut DP and aiding and abetting for all involved.

We speculate on race in crimes like this because we assume that if this is a white victim/black perp case, then the crime will receive very little attention
