How many times has Jim Robinson asked us not to post one-line vanities?

Getting to Cuba isn't that difficult. Just go to Mexico....and fly on Mexican Air or whatever to Havannah. Simple. Not that I have any personal experience......;-)

And ask them not to stamp your passport, eh?
To: Thought_Provoking
Well, for one, CUBA!

If you go on U.S. type tours, you are very restricted in where you may go and what you may do. Avoid it all by going through Mexico. At least you were able to 5 or 6 years ago.

Tourists who travel to Cuba risk dengue fever, false imprisonment on drug charges as a few British tourists have experienced. No, it might not be Midnight Express prison conditions, but the 19 year old British girl who was in prison with big rats as her cellmates won't be going back to Cuba as a tourist, I'm sure. Then there was the Danish student who got shot dead because he accidentally walked too close to an unmarked UMAP. And who wants to pay money to walk the Malecon and watch child prostitutes selling their bodies to a bunch of foreign tourist perverts for a dollar? I'll pass.

So I guess as long as we think we are free. Funny- I remember in gradeschool "freedom of travel" was one of the items teachers said made us different from Russia.

Oddly enough, the liberal pols seem to rave upon return from their junkets. Gee, do you suppose Papa Fidel only shows them the very best?

Kind of like visiting DC.

My favorite is the hotel/resort in TJ that is now "off-limits" to U.S. citizens. Yeah, that'll work.

Kind of like the pols on BOTH sides that enjoy their Cuban cigars they get in from Canada or Mexico?
To: Bella_Bru
Yep.

I don't know the current status, but jet flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Cuba were started
a few years ago.
There may be some restrictions/limitations on who gets to take those flight.
I figured the reason LAX got the deal had something to do with all the Che Guevera
flags some of the kids at UCLA fly.
