This fall I went to a Gateway store in the north part of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. I noticed the store had an armed security guard and I asked why as most retail stores in the area only have unarmed guards, if any.
The answer was, they had been robbed at gunpoint the week before, sans any security on duty, and decided it was time to get tough. They had been cleaned out of every laptop in a box or not nailed to the counter, plus all wallets of the sales staff.
I don't know what the policy of Gateway Corp. is on firearms.
