NEWARK, N.J. -- A man has been arrested and charged with helping a Sept. 11 hijacker obtain false driver's licenses and identification cards, federal authorities said Wednesday.

The FBI charged Abdel Rahman Omar Tawfiq Alfauru with producing fake identification.

Some of the bogus Virginia identification has been linked to Hani Hanjour, one of the suspected hijackers of American Airlines Flight 11, according to an FBI complaint filed Feb. 8 and made public with the arrest.

Officials did not immediately say when or where Alfauru was arrested. He was scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.

They should have thrown him in the slammer just for having that name.

The hijackers exploited a loophole that allowed people to obtain ID cards and drivers' licenses from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles without proof of identity or residency.

America did not deserve what happened on 9-11 but why did we make it so damn easy for someone to do this? Oh, now I remember, so more people would register to vote as Democrats!

He was probably afraid of having his car immolated by the terrorists (reference Katharine Smith's "accident" in Tennessee for aiding illegal aliens).

"The FBI charged Abdel Rahman Omar Tawfiq Alfauru ..."

RACIAL PROFILING!!! RACIAL PROFILING!!!

I like it.

BTW, wasn't this the name of the character in the Three Stooges episode where they were looking to steal the Rutin Tuten Diamond from a sheik's lair? Oh... that's right... that was Hasen bin Sober, the doorman at the Excelsior Hotel.

Cut off his hands, inject him with pig's blood, then send him home.
General Pershing had the right idea.
