Well, since I view our present form of government as Incremental Socialism, I would have to agree with you. But what do I know, I'm just a person who cares deeply about what I and others see happening to our country, and we see things that don't bode well at all for the future.

Or, I'm just a firebreathing pest, as you see me. Tell me, do you see our government the same way as I do?

I agree about the "Incremental Socialism," etc. We have ended up with a system that I do think the Founders never intended, or rather that they feared might come to pass.

It's just that I see too many people who use simplistic rhetoric to "explain" how things got the way they are.

The Seventeenth Amendment notwithstanding, there hasn't until now been a concerted effort to turn the United States into a Democracy.
