Actually, it's the Irish Catholic Democrats that keep Fat Teddy in office! I am not one of them although my maternal greatparents were immigrants from Ireland. My Irish grandmother despised the Kennedy family.

Howie Carr has been exposing the whole Kennedy clan for decades. There are plenty of folks who revile all things Kennedy in Massachusetts. Unfortunately we are in the minority.

Teddy Kennedy - and the fact that catholic voters made and keep him a Senator - is a screaming argument for protestantism. The church of the Kennedys (and Bidens and Leahys and Dodds and Cuomos and Gray Davises and Riordans) is not "The Church" (ie One True Body of Christ) but just another denomination. ISn't it rumored that one of Cardinal Law's predecessors prevailed on the Kopechne parents to keep quiet about their anger at Ted?
