Omar Sheikh and a few other key members of Jaish-e-Mohammed are right now in jail in Pakistan.
When will US demand their extradition into American custody?
Fox News this morning discussed the legal situation in Muslim law.
Evidently, capital punishment applies only to Muslim on Muslim crimes.
Seems that the death penalty for the kidnappers and killers of Pearl--a non-Muslim--is forbidden by the Muslim legal system.
Immediate extradition is essential if these savages are ever to be brought to Justice.

I'm for immediate summary execution. How about with a W88 warhead (475 kt)?

ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?!? Although it's not good enough, at least they'll get a hanging in Pakistan!!!

Omar Sheikh is a British citizen ...(I think) and I don't care where he is killed. I don't know what the strategy should be. I don't care if we get this guy over on US soil or not. I just want to see him and his cronies publicly dead.

If that's confirmed, then Musharraf will probably either have the law changed, or he will extradite the terrorists. He is very sensitive to our wishes at this time.
I would much rather have Pakistan conduct the executions. If these folks are extradited, it would be years, if ever, before we execute them.

A Muslim legal system?
That's as gross a generalization as "Christian legal system" which depends on local laws, which vary incredibly all over the world.
Every culture has obscene thugs and bullies.
Every culture has violence justified by self-interest.
That doesn't make it right, just common.
Every culture has somewhere a quasi-religious justification for self-interest.

Personally, Ive exhausted my patience with muslims. The religion and its followers are clearly savages and our attempts to co-exist with them are pointless. They have nothing but hatred toward the Western World and respond to any interaction with violence.
George Bushs continued stance that islam is a religion of peace is ridiculous and undermines his credibility. Its time to call a spade a spade and declare a war on islam which is clearly an evil religion as are its followers.

This is a recognized phenomenon, first examined with victims of the guillotine.

So if I say that Aryan Nations and their "kill all blacks and Jews" stance belies the assertion that Christianity is a religion of peace, does that make me just like you?

I prefer to see ALL the members of his family dead. Executed the same way (including his children) and the video tape played for him in jail. Let the terrorists start experiencing terror.

When will US demand their extradition into American custody? When a Pakistani is murdered in the US, does Pakistan have any right to demand extradition of the accused?
To: The Green Hornet
What's this thing these Islamists have about beheading? Do they think some religious text of theirs mandates this method of killing?
I remember reading, shortly after that document that was carried by three of the hijackers came out, reading some place that some term for "slaughter" in that document was interpreted as mandating slitting the throats of victims on the planes (as was done by the hijackers.)

It would be better to torture and extract information from them, then shoot them, rather to bring them to the US.Its a Pakistani problem.

It would be better to torture and extract information from them, then shoot them, rather to bring them to the US.Its a Pakistani problem. As I understand it, shooting is for military transgressions. These murderers aren't military, they're savages and deserve to be treated as such. Where it happens matters not to me.

this time, the Atal Behari Vajpayee government gave in due to the pressure exerted by the families of the hostages. During the course of the hijack, Katyal's throat too was slit from behind and he bled to death. The Vajpayee government has it's share of responsibility in this too.

There was a reason why God, in His Infinite wisdom, instructed the Israelites to totally annihilate the heathens who inhabited the Promised Land at the time. The present day terrorists & Muslims are cut from the same cloth as those early pagans & should be dealt with equally severly. They are a cancer upon the face of the earth & should be eradicated completely. Half measures accomplish nothing.
