PJ-Comix is right. A blue-dog Democrat is a conservative democrat (not many of those around). A yellow-dog Democrat is one who would vote for a yellow dog before voting for a Republican for office. You mean my feeble old mind forgot which color dog is too dumb to hunt, and which might still be taught new tricks?

The only way I remember is that my Dad is a yellow-dog Democrat. He disagrees with the Democrats on issues such as abortion, gays in the military and every election votes a straight Democratic ticket. Stupidest thing I have ever seen him do.
