Tauzin: Bush Not Involved in Enrongate
NewsMax ^ | 2/17/02 | Limbacher

Posted on 02/17/2002 6:47:06 AM PST by Tumbleweed_Connection

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Rep. Billy Tauzin said Sunday that his committee's probe into collapsed energy giant Enron has failed to uncover any evidence implicating the Bush White House in the scandal.

The Louisiana Republican was asked about Enrongate by "Fox News Sunday's" Fred Barnes:

BARNES: In your investigation have you uncovered anything that implicates the Bush administration in any wrongdoing? Or in any involvement at all in the Enron affair?

TAUZIN: Not in the scandal. I mean, obviously they were friends. Obviously Enron was a big supporter of the president. And Ken Lay was a personal friend and supporter. And, as well, Enron supported many members of Congress, both Democrat and Republican.

But as Jim Greenwood said I think last week, he and the investigators that work for our committee found no involvement of Bush officials in the scandal. (End of Excerpt)

Greenwood, the Pennsylvania Republican who chairs the House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, is conducting his own parallel Enrongate probe.

Tauzin also told Barnes that he'd uncovered no evidence that Enron officials had any undue influence over Bush Energy Department appointments.

The next election is still a long way off. Our Democrat brothers and sisters will search for other prey.

The dumpocrats used their politics of personal destruction to the hilt.
The damge is done, even though they 'quietly' say the Bush administration is innocent.
They not only publically linked the corruption of Enron with Bush, they got their facist CFR on the table because of it.
The CFR does not punish Enron, or the politicians (both parties), when they commit a crime.
I'ts punishing the American people even though they too are innocent of any crime.
It's facism. The innocent parties are punished for a crime they didn't commit by the facist left wing of the federal goverment.

The Dems know better than to actually accuse the Bush adminstation of any wrongdoing. If they simply say "Enron" and "Bush Adminstration" in the same sentence often enough and long enough people will assume it is a Bush scandal.

Damage to who? How were Bush's polls affected? What about the possibility of himm becoming even more secure?

PS...ABC morning news said dumpocrats plan to use Enron for the 2002 elections.

Remember this when a dumpocrat tries to say Bush lied about anything...

Daschle:

"The last thing we should do is politicize this [Enron] scandal. There is a tremendous amount of work to be done to get the facts and find out what we have to do to ensure that it doesn't happen again. We don't need to politicize it."

(Sen. Daschle, CNN’s "American Morning," 1/30/02)

Who else besides Zogby? Why didn't the numbers change in similar manner in the other polls? Why has Zogby been below the other polls all along?

No doubt, but it seems that they don't have a lot of room to holler about it. I have also heard that the farthur from the big names in the party the greater the donations to the RATS.

I have no idea. Although their poll also said something like 44% feel they'd rather have social programs rather than tax relief. (I'm sure those who participated in the poll probably don't pay taxes anyway. Anyone with a kid and makes below $30,000 doesn't have to pay taxes).

If you mention the word Enron to anyone who pays no attention to politics or the news, will say something about Bush. They don't know any better. Liberal press propaganda sinks in.People aren't paying that much attention really, but that's all they 'know.'

I have a sister who pays no attention to these things, so I test on her. (She doesn't mind.)

People don't care about Enron, the Rats wanted Bush and CFR. They have lost Bush, and hopefully CFR. If/when CFR is eliminated, how will Global Crossing be attacked? And Zogby has proven himself to be what he really is, a Rat.

Since Democrats got 27% of the money and Republicans recieved 73% of the contributions why have you listed only the Democratic names?

George Bush recieved 60% more money from Enron than "ALL" the democrats in the last election cycle.

Tauzin: Bush Not Involved in Enrongate

If he or any of his administration have been lying about or otherwise practicing obfuscation to hide the truth from the American people they must be exposed and punished!

And while they are at it if there are enough people in the Congress of the United States who are not liars and thieves to do the expose' job, let the games begin!!

Really the best way to eliminate all the liars and thieves and are up for re-election, at the next election cycle, vote them all out,the good and the bad, then do it again at the next election cycle!!

You mean like "Whitewater" and "Clinton"?

Just how adversely did Whitewater affect Clinton?

It affected his political standing not at all.
