God bless this great old woman, who has seen so much.

It must be extremely sad to watch your children go before you do. My deepest condolences for her loss and prayers for a speedy recovery from her fall.

I'm not sure whether I'm apathetic, or if I just don't care.

Only God can help her with this hurt. It's deeper than Hitler's bombing.

This is her "time of need."

I will pray for any person on the planet. I'm sure Elizabeth is a nice person, but what is a Queen or King of England good for? Do they do anything besides waste space and money? Any English person that says "Her Majesty" is a subservient wank.

I hope you never get to see your children die before you.

Ditto big time. The Queen mum has been the subject of a death watch for years now. But everyone masks it with fake awe over how amazing it is that she can still do this and that without soiling herself in public.

Do you?

Any English person that says "Her Majesty" is a subservient wank.

Better that than an arrogrant, self-serving, heartless bastard.

God bless the Queen Mum. Her inspiring bravery, loyalty, and dedication to her husand and children during the war were inspirational.

Don't be silly. As a descendant of the Pilgrims of the Mayflower, I know all about the abuses. And yes, you have a valid point. But, this is different. This is about an old woman who is very poor indeed.

Don't you understand?

My Mother worshipped the current Queen , her sister and the rest of the family until a few years ago with all the scandals , etc...Now even she thinks they are a bunch of leeches feeding on the British people and useless . Probably the richest woman in the world and she wanted the taxpayers to pay for renovations to Windsor Castle after the fire . What balls ! And the Queen Mum running up outrageously high debts hoarding diamonds and stuff . Talk about greed ! The sooner the Brits dump this lot in the trashbin of history the better !

Yes, and, in her current state, she reminds me of my own mother.

I think I'll cry as much for the British royals as they would for me.

The level of extreme rudeness and incivility of some people is truly amazing. It says far more about their own character than anything else.

Remember the last time the British "dumped" the Monarchy? Yeah, that worked out real well. Some of the wounds (Ireland, for example) have yet to heal.

God save the Queen.
