Are they for sale only for marriage, or can I buy a few for adoption? I think a ten-pound bag of flour is about $2, so 26 bags would be $52.

I'm with you. I would love to have a daughter.

Not a bad idea. This will ease the strain on starving families in Afghanistan, and it will bring happiness to a young person, who will be allowed to live in freedom. And of course, not to mention the joy that the adopting parents will receive.
Perhaps this should be formed into some type of policy, minus the buying and selling part.

You are so right. These young girls need adoption not sold into marriages.
I heard they won't let Americans or nonMoslems adopt. They would rather sale them into arranged marriages than give them to families that will provide a good home.

I think a ten-pound bag of flour is about $2, so 26 bags would be $52 But this is 100 kilos of raw wheat not of flour. The estimate of $13.20 is probably a decent estimate, based on $6/100 lbs, although maybe best to double or triple that for FOB Kabul.

I'm with you- there is nothing that breaks me up more than poor children affected by thsese tragedies- and for the cost of less than a weeks pay- how many could be rescused an brought to a better life in this country? Is it possible to adopt children from there?
