I was given a makeshift tour by my late uncle (Canadian Navy during and after World War II) of Canada's "western fleet" aboot 10 or 15 years ago in Victoria. The "fleet" was composed of the 3 most pathetic puny metal floating devices I ever saw in my life, freshly painted an insipid tan. One of then actually had a small cannon on deck. I was told that was it, the entire Canadian Navy fleet on the west coast.
