There is no link, but on UPN 50 there was a rap group from Detroit knows that was recruiting for the Taliban. They had a performance at the Lansing Center as part of the "Taste of Blackness" festiful which is affiliated with Michigan State University. They played lyrics about "Bin Laden declaring war against arrogant America" and also "America is racist and has no business going after Bin Laden" and stuff like that. This was all before 9/11. After 9/11, The rap group went underground and has no known address.
I looked for a printed story, but none was found that I know of. It MIGHT be on Channel 62(Detroit's CBS which I don't have on Cable) as well at 11PM(Owned by same company as UPN).
I missed the name of the group. It's a real eye opener. If I find more info on this, I will post it to this thread.
I noticed the Statist News didn't mention the America bashing either.
