What was, is no longer the norm. WHY?
The UN has stopped intervening in county to country disputes and is now in the business of global distribution of wealth. Each and every needy country that needs a marble will get one out of our bag.
We just have the Security Council veto which they are trying to do away with.
He did say managed global economy right? I've read all about this stuff, and its happening slow enough to get zero press attention.

Look Torie, if you want to think of the United Nations as a benevolent organization I can't stop you. If you wish to ignore that UNESCO develops education programs that are adopted by our DOE and the NEA, there's nothing that I can say that will make any difference to you. If you can't see that our military is being destroyed in the interest of a smaller reactionary force that will only operate at the behest of the UN, nobody will be able to explain otherwise to you. If you choose not to admit that the UN develops programs that NGOs in this nation implement to destroy our property and civil rights, that's up to you. If you don't care that the United Nations is the sole cause the United States has opened it's borders to all comers, that okay, but it's all been laid out by them for some time. When our nation comes under the full control of the UN, and it will because we are allowing it to develop a strangle hold on it, your kids and grandkids will be cursing the day you and others stood by and watched, while it all developed.

There isn't an evil thing on the planet that some person or group didn't warn about in advance. And when they did there were always those who made fun of them. Look at the greatest evils of all time. Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot and others. People made warnings in advance of each.
The United Nations is a non-representative form of government. You do not vote for it's members. You do not vote for it's officers. You do not vote for it's equivelant of president. You have no voice in it's policies or it's decisions. It is hell bent on taking away your way of life in the mistaken impression that the rest of the world will fair better if we are taken down.
Torie, you are missing the most important warning signs in the history of this planet. Once world government is intrenched, there will be nobody to rescue your sorry hide.
Its a pressure group to push for world socialism. Don't worry, we have them all over the US too. They usually have the wealthiest and most politically active socialists as members.
The UK's is particular active opposing sovereignty and such.
