Hundreds (it was thousands not counting the Rock for life youth) of prolife youth traveled to D.C. for the March for Life. Brian Kemper's Rock for Life did an outstanding job with classes and gathering many likeminded youth. Hip teenagers EVERYWHERE and MTV didn't cover it. Hmmmmm.

Hundreds of Pro-Life Youth Coming To Nation's Capital Mon Jan 7, 8:00 AM ET Hundreds Of Pro-Life Youth Coming To Nation's Capital To Declare, 'You Will Stop Killing My Generation!' To: National Desk Contact: Erik Whittington of the American Life League, 703-690-2510 or Email: media@all.org; Web site: Web site: http://www.rockforlife.org

WASHINGTON, Jan. 4 /U.S. Newswire/ -- "Every year, more and more young people come to Washington, D.C., on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade ruling to stand up against the slaughter of our generation," said Bryan Kemper director of Rock For Life, a division of American Life League. "Twenty-nine years ago the Supreme Court declared war on a group of people. The very persons who survived the Roe decision are coming here to protest the pro-death Supreme Court and pray for those justices and our nation."

Beginning Jan. 19, hundreds of pro-life youth will be coming from all over the country to spend four days with Rock For Life, the nation's fastest growing youth pro-life organization. All these youth will be wearing Rock For Life sweatshirts that read "abortion is homicide." This shirt has become very popular with high school students, many of whom have been harassed by school administrators for wearing attire deemed "inappropriate" or even "offensive."

Schedule of events: -- Saturday, Jan. 19 -- Rock For Life concert, featuring Hangnail, Cool Hand Luke and Jennifer's Regret at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, 7 p.m.

-- Sunday, Jan. 20 -- Candlelight prayer vigil at the Supreme Court, 7 p.m.

-- Monday, Jan. 21 -- Picketing and news conference at Health and Human Services 10:30 a.m.; pro-life youth rally, featuring Joe Scheidler, Judie Brown, and Bryan Kemper at the Hyatt Regency, 7 p.m.

-- Tuesday, Jan. 22 -- Rock For Life Concert featuring Hangnail and Cool Hand Luke on Constitution Ave. between 14th and 15th streets. The bands will lead hundreds of youth wearing "abortion is homicide" sweatshirts into the March for Life, 10:30 a.m.

--- Rock for Life is a division of American Life League, the nation's largest pro-life educational organization with more than 300,000 supporters

My daughter and I were there and I was so impressed with these kids. We can be proud. MTV hasn't brainwashed every teenager.

MTV is raw, uncensored trash. I can't believe that any self respecting person would subject themselves to such idiocy. I can only hope that one day, some how, some way, MTV goes belly up. Of course that's a pipe dream- there's a sucker born every minute unfortunately.

Why expect MTV to cover it? If they did, would that be cause to justify and "okay" MTV for youth?
I expect it of them, and don't fault them for not covering it.

A gold ring in a pigs snout is still a pig.

No, I believe that MTV is AFRAID to cover it. They only have one thing in mind...to brainwash the youth of America today and block out all truth. This was an example. They will never cover anything like this- it might change minds. EGAD!

So? That's like saying the people at Democratic Underground didn't send GW a birthday card. Duh.

Thanks for the post. This makes my heart feel good. Parents are the first line of responsibility by making certain MTV is not an option in the home. Just look at the difference between these kids and the ones on TV and MTV? Which teens' parents do you think did more work and the better job of parenting? I'm pleased whenever I see a gathering of people celebrating life....and I'll bet not one piece of trash was left anywhere on the grounds either. The pictures are worth a thousand words....thanks again.

um duh I know it makes sense that MTV didn't cover it- okay? Some of us parents of teenagers are tired of the stereotypes MTV puts out there...I just wanted to encourage others. Chill out.

It doesn't appear you are "encouraging others", it appears you are ragging on MTV for not covering it. I am not an MTV fan, but if you are going to "encourage others", then mention others.

It was truly uplifting. And there was some trash, but not anything compared to a secular rock concert.;-)

Yeah, I heard about this on the Today Show [insert roaring audience laughter]...

Seriously, this is really cool. At least there's still an ember of hope burning for the future of America. Too bad obnoxious left-wing "career" protesters get all the press while legitimate causes fueled by (presumably) intelligent individuals are left by the wayside.

God'sgrrl, eh? It seems public school and network news aren't getting the job done...

A friend of mine said that NPR stated that there were an equal amount of protestors out there...that was so far from the truth.

"Hip teenagers EVERYWHERE and MTV didn't cover it."

Nowhere in the article is MTV mentioned. YOU mentioned it, and then say you are encouraging others and not singling them out? Right. If you don't get it, I am not going to explain it.

Typical. I suspect that was probably the most significant mainstream coverage that the pro-lifers received, too.

I just took a look at the ALL.org website...is the American Life League specifically a Catholic organization?
