Prayers requested during week of 1/13/01
Again, thank you all and my God bless each and every FReeper!
While I'm here, I'll update our situation regarding the group home that is holding my mentally retarded brother-in-law hostage, so to speak. Mr. M and I consulted an attorney and are hopeful (finally) that at Friday's hearing, the judge will see that b-i-l's allegations did not come from him but from the people who are exerting undue and cruel influence over him. Meanwhile, Dad went to the home this evening to pick up his son for their usual Wednesday night dinner, and the people once again locked the door and refused to permit him to enter, let alone to see his son. They said b-i-l would rather stay there and watch them hang curtains than go out to dinner. Of course, they didn't even tell b-i-l that his dad was there to see him, so he probably thinks he's been abandoned (just what they want him to think). I continue to marvel at this incredible level of cruelty. Anyway, we're hopeful we can get him out of this mess come Friday, and will update all you prayer warriors then.
Almighty and Most Merciful God, DittoJed2's cousin is in terrible pain. Jesus, please stretch forth Your hand and heal this precious cousin as You have done so many times when we have sought Your great help. Calm and quiet nerve endings, soothe and relax every muscle and system that has been grossly affected by this constant pain. Give complete and utter relief even though the doctors have been unable to help. You CAN help! Please, Dearest Jesus, forbid any more pain and bring perfect healing instead! Thank You Jesus!
Havenly Father, Precious Jesus, please take complete control over the situation with mountaineer's brother-in-law. Father, he is a defenseless lamb, with only You to defend and protect him from evil people wishing to control and influence him. Take charge, Mighty God, and release this dear and special brother from this very harmful situation and return him to the loving arms of his family without delay. Erase any harm that may have been done to him by these thoughless and cruel individuals, and instead fill his heart with joy that his family loves and wants him. Grant all favors and mercies to this entire family, Dearest Lord, and provide for their every need. Thank You Father!
Father, I also ask Your provisions for every unique need and request that my prayer warrior brothers and sisters have. You know each of us so well, you have heard our requests every time, and always You provide everything at just the right moment. Give us hearts of lions as we confront our old adversary, and let us never be timid during intercession. Strengthen us and tell us what and how to pray for each need. Thank You Father!
Dearest Lord, please remember every person who has ever posted a request for prayer on our threads. Guard and guide them, give them all that they need. Thank You Father!
Through our Dearest Brother, Jesus, and in His name I ask these things, that the name El Shaddai be praised and glorified by all who hear of the answers to these prayers. Amen!
