Powell condemns Palestinian arms smuggling

US Secretary of State Colin Powell has condemned this afternoon the attempt to smuggle arms and ammunition aboard the Karine A vessel.

Powell also said it is difficult to imagine the arms were meant for a destination other than the Palestinian Authority, Israel Radio reported. <P. The US yesterday acknowledged Palestinians were involved in the smuggling of illegal arms aboard the Karine A and said the shipment, intercepted by Israel last week, is of "deep concern."

It must be a pretty bad act by the Palestinians if pro-Palestinian Powell is condemning it.

Powell, probably told the Israelis to return to the peace table so they could make more agreements with arafat, that will not be honored. He must have had some banalities about the cycle of violence.

The state department is loaded with the crowd of America haters left over from the Carter administration. Slick unburried all the slime that was hiding there for decades....albright, berger, tony lake, and their cohorts. Powell is a perfect fit for State but in this time of national crisis, as with Mineta as Transportation Secretary we are not well served. Not a day goes by that I don't thank President Bush for convincing Rumsfeld to serve his country one more time. We are so blessed!
