UNITED NATIONS -- The United Nations quashed an investigation earlier this year into whether U.N. police were directly involved in the enslavement of Eastern European women in Bosnian brothels, according to U.N. officials and internal documents.

Gee, it's really a big surprise that the U.N. would preach against human rights abuses while being the worst offenders. (/sarcasm)

--what upsets me more is the complete willingness of the "US" armed forces to "serve" under the UN. Very few of them are willing to say "no", the ones that do, that say "no", have my full support. The ones that 'serve' the UN-well, too bad, they switched allegiances from the US of A to the UN. Their choice. They volunteered for it.
