A pet parrot in Holland turned on a tap and flooded its owner's flat after he left it home alone for Christmas.
Jan Borst from Utrecht let the bird out of its cage and went to visit his family.
Neighbours in a flat below called the fire brigade when they saw water dripping from their ceiling. It's caused £3,000 damage.
Officers broke in and found the washing machine tap - next to the parrot's cage - turned on, Utrechts Dagblad reports.
A spokesman says: "Because there was nobody to talk to, the parrot probably amused himself with the tap."

Thou shalt not leave a pet parrot alone.... They are so intelligent. They are lucky that is all the damage it caused.

My situation was a little different! I lived in an old house converted into separate apartments. I had a cat who managed to turn on the hot water in the kitchen sink when I was gone at work, and when I got home, nobody had any hot water for washing clothes, showers, etc., and they were all pretty worked-up about it! When I walked into my apartment and saw that my hot water faucet was on, I knew who the culprit was! I never said a word!

If I guess Theresa they're always Teresa, and vice versa.
Merry Christmas.
