This Freep was advertised on one of the Protest web sites for several weeks, it had been posted for about a week before the event on FreeRepublic. The Peace-Niks had asked their ranks to meet at the corner of University and Pembroke Rd. in Miramar to rally for peace between 11:00 & 12:00. The announcement told them to meet in front of the Wal-Mart.
I figured I’d arrive early and see if I could coax some opinions from the Managers of the Sam ‘s Club and the Wal-Mart located at the site, but neither of them had a comment either way, on the issue of the peace marchers or our Troops in Afghanistan. After talking to them I headed out towards the intersection where every one was to meet.
It turns out to be a pretty desolate intersection, an airport takes up most of the empty property at the northeast corner. There’s plenty of vehicle traffic but only one business, a Farm Store Gas Station at the Southeast corner. Hey, this is pretty cool none of the peace-niks have had the courage to show up.
I decided this week I would ask everyone to “Support Our Troops” and remember that “Flight 93 Did Not Fight Back in Vain” the other side of my sign announced “Infinite Justice Brought to you By The U.S.A.”. I stood on the corner turning my sign and slowly moving so everyone who passed by could read all its messages.
I had the opportunity to talk to some of the newspaper venders who had set up shop to acquire their wages for their daily sustenance. One of them seemed to have already started on his sustenance, he rambled that “peace is a good thing but we should kill them all “(referring to the peace-niks I told him were expected to show up). The other was a little more sincere, he thought we should “Kill all the Afghanis and anybody who says stop”. I talked to about a dozen people on my way to and from this Freep, and it seems to me that Freepers are a lot more tolerant then any of the people I talked to on the street. Most of these people were not in favor of any protest against the war and would resort to some sort of violence to end it. One man said “let them have their Freedom of Speech before their execution” and another said “let them have their Freedom Of Speech over in Afghanistan.” Another said “It’s a good thing they're down there, they would all be shot if they entered my neighborhood.”
After a while I heard a friendly Freeper war cry, Deon and Shetlan were on the scene, along with Jim, another Freeper who goes by the screen name Librat. Jorge from antiantiwar.com had arrived at the same time. Shetlan and her daughter Deon are two of the finest examples of conservatism you’ll ever meet, they stand up for their beliefs, aren’t afraid to defend our Republic and still remain calm and compassionate. Beauty and Brains are to be expected from conservative ladies, and it is not hard to believe Shetlan and Deon’s beauty was enough to scare away the ugly peace-niks today.
Their compassion is evident in the signs they created to support our Republic. Deon’s sign proclaiming “Terrorists LOVE Pacifists” was sprinkled with sparkles all over the word “Love” no one could doubt the sincerity of her message. Deon also wanted to let us know “Everyone hates war, but it takes brave good people, to do something they hate in order to make things better for everyone else.”
The artistry in Shetlan’s sign was stunning as was the message of peace she wishes us all for Christmas “Rid The World Of Terrorists and Their Supporters”. Looking closely at the sign one may think the artwork was incomplete, however I believe this is Shetlan’s compassionate way of saying that the war against terrorism will not be complete even after things in Afghanistan are settled, there will still be terrorists that need our attention. Shetlan also wanted to tell everyone to “Kill terrorists not unborn Babies”
This was the first time I met Jim, he seems like a thoughtful and intelligent guy. He brought a guitar along, unfortunately we never had the opportunity to hear him play, I hope that we have the chance to enjoy his music sometime in the future. Jim’s sign asked “Would You Rather Have Peace or Liberty”. Jim wanted us to know “We all want peace but not at the expense of liberty”. It was a pleasure to talk with him and I look forward to another day of Freeping with his support.
It is always great to see Jorge from antiantiwar.com, some of you know him by his screen name MiamiFreePress. This Freep had to be a celebration for Jorge after all the hard work he has put into his website, nothing to see here but a bunch of happy Freepers. The protesters never showed, even though they had plenty notice to plan their protest. The counter-protestors were victorious today by default. We allowed the peace-niks to pick the time and the place and they chose cowardliness. They have been humiliated with facts exposed for the socialists they are and beaten back with Freeper’s resolve. They did not have the courage to stand up for their convictions today. I believe this is due to Jorge’s unyielding determination to humiliate and expose these peace-niks for the socialists they are. Jorge has more courage then any Freeper I’ve met, he gets the Flor-idiots to say what ever they want on camera and then he nails them with the facts that expose their stupidity. Jorge has gone at these people alone and out numbered armed only with his digital cam and the facts, and Jorge has never walked away from them in defeat. The freedom we share from the peace-niks this Christmas in South Florida, we owe at least in part to Jorge, I for one am very grateful to him.
Now we can answer the question, what if they gave a peace rally and no one showed up? The answer is, you get the opportunity to meet some really fine people, who you can trust and would be proud to stand with in any crisis.
Thanks to all the Freepers who have helped to put down and expose the socialists at the different rallies around South Florida, and all the Freepers that continue to serve throughout our Nation. Our numbers have been growing at each event and the Peace-niks numbers have become nonexistent, I hope we can continue this trend. Wingnuts’nbolts and Dorben I hope things went well today, we missed you, the directions you have provided and your inspiration are always appreciated.
If there are any Freeps planned for this Holiday Season I have a suggestion for a sign. “Victory Is Ours! Now to Work On The Senate!”
Please let me know if the Freepers in Chicago have anything planned in the first few weeks of the year, it would be fun to get to meet some of the Freepers there. I hope you all have wonderful Christmas and a very prosperous New Year.

Uhhh, I guess you don’t know what it’s like to wake up with a Marijuana hang over at the crack of 11 am to attend a peace rally. Of course none of the hippies showed up.
