Mexican Consulate deluged by ID requests since Sept. 11

Uneasiness spawned by Sept. 11 is adding to the crush of Mexican citizens flooding the Sacramento consulate for national identification cards, says Consul Luis Enrique Castresana.

Demand for the photo ID cards has more than doubled over last fall, he reports.

Just a helping hand to the poor Mexicans -- so now they can obtain bank accounts and drivers licenses and welfare and you name it. Meanwhile, unsaid, these people maintain citizenship in Mexico.

Castresana said a person's immigration status has no bearing on the issuing of the card. "We don't ask if they're here legally," he said. "We are not Immigration." "We don't ask if you're robbing that bank, we're here to enforce the traffic ordinances." AdR

Mexican ID's -- once just radical maneuvers to get illegals operating with a cover of 'legal' documentation in Orange County and San Francisco -- now spreading to Sacramento and no doubt many more areas.

Did the Communists and illegals violently attack anyone at your last rally?

I went into a McDonald's yesterday to get some of those little gift certificates for kids. All of the employees were speaking Spanish, and they had to call a young man from the back to help me because they couldn't figure out what I wanted. I had to explain it twice to him. I told the young man to forget it, that if McDonald's couldn't accommodate American customers that I wouldn't be back.

They don't even bother learning English anymore because they don't have to. By the way, this is not a predominantly hispanic town, but I guess it's getting there, like most towns in southern California.

Then we can vote in their elections. I mean, fair is fair. And we could buy land in Baja, just like they buy homes up here.

Oh, right, I forget: these "rights" are just one-sided, and our most excellent "conservative" leaders never, ever insist that they be equal. Nope. Apparently, though, according to some...WE provoked this response from our opponents, because telling illegals to go back home and stop breaking our laws is quite a "legitimate" enough reason for them to try to beat the s*** out of you, don't you know...
