December 2, 2001 -- The Rev. Al Sharpton yesterday made it clearer than ever that he's eyeing a big prize: the presidency.

"I want to be president of the United States," the black civil-rights leader boldly told a crowd of his supporters in Harlem.

Let him run. What a great distraction. And with his lack of judgement, he's liable to do something criminal in the process.

I'd glady use pay-per-view for a mud wrestling match between Al Sharpton and Hillary Clinton, preferably held in the Harlem office of DIRTXPOTUS.

I hope he wins the Democrat nomination. Ralph Nader would then come in second in November 2004, with about 20% of the total vote.

Al Sharpton: The democrat's gift to the country.

Keep on keepin' on, Al. You just make me laugh.

Wow! This would be great: Sharpton runs, feels that he's been snubbed by the eventual Dem candidate, and doesn't lift a finger to turn out the vote among blacks in the general election.

". . .that black civil rights leader"? What a sick joke. The sleazy charlatan is in fact an arrogant racist agitator, a perpetual liar and a known criminal. Probably worse than clinton (if such is possible.)

What is the term that they apply to these kind of people? Something like "suffering from grand delusions"?

This is a guy who has eight suits ... all owned by someone else so that they cannot be confiscated in a lawsuit.

While I would enjoy a Sharpton run, just for the humor potential, that's not what is really happening here. IMHO, he is simply letting the Wicked Witch of the West Wing know that the cost for keeping him down on the plantation in '04 is going to be expensive.

"Probably worse than clinton (if such is possible.)"

Not Possible
He could get close, but NO CIGAR (pun intended)
The Reverand still has dung on his hands (Remember Twonda Browley(sp)?
My all time favorite is Rev AL spouting off that Jesus was homeless, and Joseph was un-employed. This from a reverand. Sharpie and the misguided Jackson must have attended the same Theology school.

"Wicked Witch of the West Wing know that the cost for keeping him down on the plantation in '04 is going to be expensive."

So true.
Even (IQ -10) Sharpie knows he has NO Chance to become President. (He can count) If every Black in the US voted for him he still would loose.
He is trying to line his pockets while he can. He and many others will take advantage of the HILDERBEAST and her obsession to be President. You can bet on it! ! ! !

"If I decided to run, I'd be running to win. I certainly won't be running because I have nothing else to do."

Just nothing useful.

This may be one of the funniest threads I've seen in a very long time.

Bump for future read.

He wants the VP slot. Then we imagines he'll do the Colin Powell thing: become palatable to Whites and run "in his own right." Or poison President Hillary. Whatever.

I suspect he's so accustom to the fawning snots over at NPR that he doesn't realize how repulsive he is to the majority of Whites and any clear thinking Black person.
