I thought Bush's "Islam is Peace" propaganda was a joke until I saw this website. I was amazed to see that they're probably teaching our kids about Mohammed and the wonders of Islam now during Ramadan.

Looks like they're using Black History Month as a template to infuse classrooms with Islamic teaching

Try doing this with Christian educational materials. NOT LIKELY!

Is this in conjunction with the US Department of Education? Or, is it a private initative?

I guess they're getting around the law by saying that teaching Islam is "cultural education" and "learning history." And since CNN produced that propaganda film it's non-biased...LOL!

Of course Christianity and the Biblical record is marginalized as having nothing to do with our western culture or history.

I am sad that teaching of Christianity is marginalized, but ignorance of Islam is part of what got us into this mess. They ought to have a chance to tell their own story as part of a history/social studies curriculum that also tells the parts of the story they won't have much cause to celebrate. If my kid EVER brought home a history or social studies book that tried to gloss over exactly whom to blame for the terrorist attacks over the last decade plus, I would be down there screaming at whatever school board approved it. Islam is going to have to take responsibility for its evil acts if it wants anyone in Western Civilization to appreciate the good things it has done.

Truth. It's what's for children.

Looks like it's an Islamic initiative and they're trying to get teachers to integrate school by school, maybe to make it a standard teaching festival during Ramadan. Just like Black History Month or Earth Worship Day.

I think Bush's statements on Islam and the White House prayers to Allah sent a strong signal. So I imagine now during Ramadan some children are being pushed hard to "understand Islam" and "see the truth" about Mohammed being Allah's only prophet, etc. Any Christians kids who get confused and dare speak their minds will be declared outcast haters no doubt.

Kind of like Taliban Sunday School.

That would be great if the real truth about Islam is told, but it looks like Bush's use of the bully pulpit will solidify the Islamic propaganda.

Notice how they include CNN videos and videos on Christianity and Judiasm. This is a perfect subversive plan since those might be chosen by teachers to be "fair." But there's no way any teacher would be caught dead showing a film on Christianity by Franklin Graham, or one produced by the 700 Club News division.

It's about time for Bush to drop his Mr. Rogers imitation and get down to the serious business of fighting this war with Islam.

I had an Orthodox friend who claimed the children of Islam were all descendents of Cain. He didn't go so far as to call Islam the Devil's religion, but you have to wonder.

Yeah, we need to jump on this enemy propaganda effort now or by the time Ramadan is over we're going to have kids thinking Islam is just like Christianity and Judiasm -- except the Christian and Jew infidels are hateful murderers, and Jesus was wrong to make exclusive claims.

Classroom projects will probably include designing a mockup of the Sbarro Pizaria bombing

A LOT of Orthodox here in Greece..including the clergy...are also very anti-Jewish as well. It's something they openly admit.

Unbelievable. God is not allowed in government schools but Allah is.

Another reason to home-school or private-school children. The government schools have REALLY gone too far. My hard-earned tax dollars are going to support an "education" agenda I totally disagree with, along with gay-sex-education, sex-change appreciation and why we should exercise our First Amendment Rights by burning the American Flag.

High Blood Pressure Alert!!!!

Harley:
Now children can learn about seventh century knuckle-dragging pedophiles in filthy nightshirts and their moon god allah with his three REDACTED daughters along with their terrorist rag of a handbook authored by a psychopathic epileptic pirate, that doesn't even make suitable toilet paper - the koran.

kangharue:
Is this supposed to be intelligent conversation?
