A Lindenhurst man, one of more than 1,100 detained nationwide during the aftermath of the attack on the World Trade Center, operated a flying school in Farmingdale, bought two airplanes and obtained a commercial pilots' license despite having been ordered deported back to his native country of Egypt, authorities say.

How many INS official got $chmeared? How many fed$ got a gratuity? Why was no one interested in prosecuting this guy prior to Sept 11? Seems that they had no trouble finding him. Was the fix in somewhere? Sorry. There are too many people who we trust with our security simply waiting for their fat US pensions. How many people are going to be fired because of this incompetence? I bet ZERO. Has Tenet, the head of the failed CIA been fired? Has he quit in shame, no. Has the head of INS been canned, NO. Why are we so tolerant of failure? I understand that feelings come first in America, but even when our lives are at stake?
