Terror Cell in North Ga? Police in the Habersham County town of Cornelia report the recent arrests of 3 men with suspected ties to a terror cell. Cornelia Police chief Bruce Wright says the men were caught taking pictuers of railroad tracks; one of them allegedly had information about train schedules and payloads in his car. The man and the evidence are now in the custody of the FBI. Chief Wright says federal agents tell him the men were deported in 1998 because of terrorist activities against the United States. Let's hope they don't just let them go, as they seem to do with most of these people.

I have been thinking that trains could be a good weapon, for someone who doesn't mind dying. The major rail-yards have a lovely chemical-soup available virtually 24/7, all they need is someone to stir the ingredients.

Last Friday afternoon I went to look at some industrial property that borders railroad tracks. Later in the day [about 4:30pm] I went back to check out the access road and driveway, for snowplow estimation. As I was pacing it off, an officer on a mountain bike stopped me.

He said the gravel road was private property of CP Rail and I was trespassing. He was very aggressive and suspicious, and stated they had been having a problem with unauthorized dumping.

I had stopped at a local establishment for a refreshment or two. When I left an hour later, a squad car pulled out of the access road and followed me for a bit. The bike cop must have called in my description, and they quit after running my plates. Dumping problem? I don't think so. They were watching the tracks, IMO.

I live about 30 miles from Cornelia. I have several friends who live there. Give these boys an hour with the guy post #3 and I bet they would talk. If I remembered right he liked pigs.

Mohammed Atta was in Copperhill, TN just over the Georgia border in the past year according to eyewitness reports. He was at the airport and was asking about the chemical plants and industries in the area. Sounds like North Georgia/SE Tennessee may need a closer look.

Three cheers for Police chief Bruce Wright and the local FBI for grabbing these "sleepers".

Way to go.
