Wow - I thought this would have already been posted... but several hours ago Bill Simon officially entered the GOP race against Bill Jones and Dick Riordan (?) for Governor of California.
Here's some news stories I just looked up in the past 10 minutes:
Reuters: Philanthropist Simon in Race for Calif. Governor
News 10: L.A. Banker Announces Bid for Governor
KOVR 13: Republican Bill Simon is running for governor
San Diego Union Tribune - Simon OpEd - Three steps to jump-starting the California economy
KFWB Radio (LA): Investment Banker Bill Simon Officially Announces Run For Governor
This is the California Bret Schundler. We are gonna retake California from the Gray Davis-Gary Condit-Barbara Lee circle of shame that they have brought upon our state!
Anyway, he has a web page. I think it's simonforgovernor.com, or something like that. I'm glad that there's someone conservative in the race that I can feel good about voting for. I'm tired of all the liberals taking over California. I don't think that we're as liberal of a state as everyone seems to think. And, my next door neighbor who's more involved that I am told me that Simon was the ONLY candidate to come out against that AB 25 that undid Prop. 22. Davis signed it, and I think that will cost him the election. I hope!
