The following stories are typical of crime reporting in the Buffalo News.
These stories ran over the last two weeks and there are plenty more like them that appear two or three times a week.
Read the descriptions carefully and see if you can find any useful information:

I and others have tried to get them to explain and change their reporting but to no avail.
Perhaps if they get a flood of letters, they might reconsider this absurd practice of reporting crime.
I used to live at 1020 Elmwood Ave, 16 Tremont Ave, and another street I can't remember. I miss Pano's (they have my picture on the wall!). And playing Metallica at an open mic at some blues bar on Elmwood whose name escapes me.
These crimes were all in the "east side" of Buffalo.
I think the African-American crowd also got the media to stop using that phrase in their reporting.
I always prefered the bars by Buff State. Easier to pick up chics at. Plus I could stumble home.
MERLINS! thats the name of the bar I use to jam some Metallica on for open mic. Also did a gig there that Burnt Orange opened for us. The owner of Merlins is one of the best guitar players I have ever seen. He was amazing.
