Hillary Clinton Is At It Again: Sixty Second Activist Action Item

I received the following e-mail today from Sixty Second Activist, an Conservative Activist Organization. When I saw it involved an Issue regarding our "Dear Friend", hitler clinton, I felt a strong urge to share this with you. FReepers: Go for it! ;-)

Dear Richard Meek,

Here is today's Sixty Second Activist ACTION ITEM:

ISSUE: Hillary Rodham Clinton has been trying for years to give government more control over children. Critics say the efforts undermine parental authority. Now, conservatives suspect Sen. Clinton may be hitching her political ambitions to still another "wagon."

Citing her concern for the health needs of children amid the threat of bioterrorism, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., recently introduced legislation that would establish a new task force and preparations for an attack in which children are affected.

"I'm very concerned that we're not paying adequate attention to the unique needs of children in our efforts to plan and prepare for any of these future possibilities," Clinton said at a recent hearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee.

Supporters of the legislation say it would provide support services for children affected by the Sept. 11 attacks. But there have been no reports of any child being unable to get medical care.

John Paulton, of Focus on the Family, is suspicious of the New York senator's reasons for introducing legislation that links the terrorism threat to children's health care.

"Her attempts to bring this up at this time are clearly an attempt to tie it to the terrorist attacks and, thus, change the dynamics of the debate," Paulton said.

He continued: "She, along with Ted Kennedy, the senator from Massachusetts, have been relentless in their efforts to get any part of their agenda through on health care. And we need to be on guard not only against terrorist attacks, but against other people who would take political advantage of this climate we are in right now to get their agenda through Congress."

Health care workers say the idea that parents were not available after the Sept. 11 attacks to take care of their children is unsupported by facts.

Jeff Marchant, also of Focus on the Family, said Clinton might be using the opportunity to further concepts she promoted in her book, "It Takes A Village."

"The door is open for yet another attempt to see how much of our children's health care and the raising and nurturing can be done by the 'nanny' state -- the federal government -- one of her pet projects," Marchant said.

(Thanks to "CitizenLink" at www.family.org for today's Action Item!)

ACTION ITEM: The HELP Committee's Subcommittee on Children and Families is expected to hear this issue in the coming weeks; it's also been introduced in the House of Representatives. Contact your legislators today and let them know your objections to the Clinton-Dodd-Slaughter "Protecting America's Children Against Terrorism Act" (you can copy and edit the letter at the bottom of this email):

----------------

Dear [legislator's name],

Legislation has been introduced in the Senate (S. 1539) and House (H.R. 3106) that is just an attempt by Hillary Rodham Clinton to take political advantage of this climate we are in right now to get her long-standing agenda through Congress.

Sen. Clinton has been trying for years to give government more control over children and undermine parental authority. Now, it appears she is hitching her political ambitions to still another 'wagon.'

If the Clinton-Dodd-Slaughter 'Protecting America's Children Against Terrorism Act' is passed, the door will be opened for yet another attempt to see how much of our children's health care and the raising and nurturing can be done by the 'nanny' state -- the federal government.

Please stand firm AGAINST this bill. Thank you.

Sincerely,

[Your name & address]

Hillary is very dangerous. How dare the people of the Empire State give her such power! The next big test as to the sanity of (some) of the people of New York is to whom they entrust the office of the Mayor of New York.If it is to be Mark Green, then it is politics as usual. If they choose Bloomburgh, then they will at least made an attempt to put practicality over politics. They are faced with "The Law of Unintended Consequences".When they term-limited politicians, they didn't mean "RUDY"!!!

All either Clinton has done is try to use the children, of America, to further their own egotistical, socialistic liberal, political ambitions.

This is probably one reason she got booed off the stage in NY after 20 seconds.

Sort of reminds me of some dimwit liberal lawyer that was on one of the FOX shows, foaming at the mouth that the first order of business of the government was to vaccinate all the children against small pox. "Only the children. No adults until every child has received theirs first.".

I had this picture in my mind of toddlers trying to fire up an F-16, while all the adults lay dead and decomposing in the streets.

As I was screaming at the T.V., words I couldn't use here on F.R., the host asked the guy, the same question I had.

"What good would it be if all the children survived with no adults left?". Then the host really shocked me by using the very example that came into my mind. "On airplanes, adults are advised to put on their own oxygen masks before helping children and others. Isn't that because, with adults incapacitated, the children would face greater harm?"

Of course this didn't phase the idiot one bit. He continued blathering on about the one idea that fit in his miniscule brain. "But the children......For the children.....Yadda....Yadda...Yadda......".

Pity. I wonder if this was the same person that I saw a while back that was whining so vehemently on Bill O'Reilly's show about the "innocent civilians" in Afghanistan that might die if we bomb to eliminate the Terrorists (Al Qaeda and Osam bin Laden) and their enablers, The Taliban. Bill O'Reilly spoke sharply "Cut his Mike!" The sound was gone and soon so was the picture from the remote location for the guest. I've never seen O'Reilly do that before, but I had already screamed at the TV "Shut him off, Bill!". . .amazing how some people are. . .

Gotta love that picture! Where does she shop??? :-D

Thanks for heads up on this one MeekNMing!

There is so much attention given to the anthrax cases, and to Afghanistan that you can be sure the Dem's will try to sneak attack, if we are not vigilant. There are a few others who cannot be trusted, as well. They have already shown their true colors!

Thanks!
