Pat Buchanan is being interviewed right now on Sean Hannity's radio program and just said that the US is responsible for the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children.
I can't believe people voted for this guy.

I know what you mean. I love Sean, but have been considering turning it off due to Buchanan making my blood pressure rise. I think he's senile. Sounds like a Berkeley freshman.

Riiiiiiiight Pat, it had nothing to do with that Sadaam guy.

Pat Buchanan is being interviewed right now on Sean Hannity's radio programHe is still on right now. I used to like him, and still agree with one or two things he says, but other than that, he is nuts.

I believe PJB's best days are way behind him now. He appears almost certifiable at times. This is one of them.

I heard him bring that up last night on Hannity and Colmes and couldn't believe it.
Whatever happened to the importance of truth in this country? Apparently, the truth only matters when it fits into someone's particular agenda and world view. The fact that his blatherings line up with the blatherings from the left should be telling us something about how important it is to not follow party lines or "platforms" blindly...

Between Pat Robertson and Pat Buchanan, what is it with these so-called "right-wingers"? Have they been taken over by evil democrat alien body-snatchers?
To: finnman69
It's one thing to say that killing Hussein rather than sanctioning him would have been smarter (an opinion I share).
It's another to pretend that the US and not Hussein is culpable for the sufferings of the Iraqi people.

I can't believe I ever voted for this person. He's not a conservative, just a nutcase. He's third party material for sure.....

Somebody needs to hillary-slap this guy.

There was a great article in the New Republic recently that exposed this argument for the BS it is. Northern Iraq is under exactly the same oil for food sanctions as the rest of Iraq, the difference is that Kurdish administrators control the process. Guess what? Food in the stores, no starving children, no medicine shortages, because they in fact use the money from oil to buy that stuff. Absolute conclusive proof that it is Saddam, not the sanctions, that are causing the "starving children of Iraq" problem we hear about ad nauseum as the fault of the US and the justification for terrorism.

He's a nut.

Sean just said Buchanan is 'insane' for thinking that if we sent aid in to the kids that Saddam would not steal it and build more palaced with gold lined pools.
To: Malcolm
T'ain't your fault IMO. He was running off of a pretty good track record up that point, but it's clear now he's run off the damn road. I'm sure you won't let it happen again.

Context please...
Did he say that the US was responsible because we didn't kill Saddam when we had the chance? -or- Was he simply disagreeing with our embargo policy? anyone?

The US responsible? What about Saddam Hussein? This guy continues to pour money into the Iraqi military, his palaces, and statues of himself while his people live day-to-day.
To: Bikers4Bush
Pat has totally lost it. He's so far right that he comes around at you from the left! He blames US sanctions and says that is what killed Iraqi children, yet he is against NAFTA and other types of free trade? Its totally inconsistant.
