A caller on this morning's C-Span Morning Call-In Show after a quick listing of liberal concerns added, "I'm glad Barbara Olson is dead." The voice, female, was quickly cut off and nothing further was said by the show's hostess.

A few days ago, a liberal caller on the Jay Severin Show made fun of Rush Limbaugh's medical condition and then warned Jay that he would go deaf too because of his conservative views.

It seems that "hate speech" only applies to conservatives. Liberals can say whatever they want.

It was a male caller. He first talked about the events of 9/11 being karma - the U.S. was being punished for something or other - Iraq, Israel, something. And that some Moslem country was being punished for some other "wrong". Then he said that he was glad that Barbara Olson was dead.

The idiot was obviously sick. The hostess was right in ignoring his whole call.

There are a lot of idiots in the world. It doesn't help to get all upset at each of them. They are best ignored.

When we criticize a liberal's politics or actions, we are hateful. But it's okay for a liberal to say he is glad that a conservative is deaf or dead. It makes sense to me. If you say that it's not fair, then you are a racist.

Consider this... the caller was on at least a 5 second delay, but they let it air.

I think I can understand a liberal feeling this -- if, say, Hillary were to die, I doubt if I would feel any particular sorrow. What I can't understand is expressing such feelings, especially in so very public a fashion. But a lot of those liberal seminar callers to C-SPAN are a puzzlement.

I used to be a Cspan junkie..that ended when Brian decided to have "fair and balance" calls..You now have no sense of the viewer reactions..it is vanilia

It is also tilted heavily to the left..so as an upright conservative,I get my news and reviews from the only straight up source..All of you*grin*
