U.S. intelligence received no specific warning, the state of alert had been high during the past two weeks, and a particularly urgent warning may have been received the night before the attacks, causing some top Pentagon brass to cancel a trip. Why that same information was not available to the 266 people who died aboard the four hijacked commercial aircraft Who ever this person that was calling everyone the nite before and warning them just like they did to mayor Willie Brown and who knows who else in my eyes is just as guilty as the terrorists and that goes for the people that was warned...

CIA Director George Tenet This guy needs to be FIRED.

The Clinton holdover George Tenet, the CIA director, fell asleep on his job. He couldn't collect the basic intelligence needed to ensure our national security and protect innocent American lives. Better replace him with someone who will follow through so we are never put in this position again.

"CIA Director George Tenet This guy needs to be FIRED" That may be true. But keep in mind the ridiculous policies imposed upon the CIA by clinton in 1996 that severly limits their ability to utilize as informants those who have commited "human rights" violations. No other country restricts its intelligence services to politically correct spying.
As the writer of this article puts it, "This is like telling FBI agents they must infiltrate the Mafia without talking to any mafiosos."
This attack involved probably hundreds of people in planning, training and financing. clinton's policy may have kept our intelligence from getting wind of it.
