President Joe Biden’s call for the expedited withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Afghanistan is moving at a fever pitch, and it appears as if the president will be leaving kidnapped U.S. Navy veteran Mark Frerichs behind with his captors, the Taliban.
According to U.S. Army Green Beret and U.S. Rep. Michael Waltz (R), who served several tours in Afghanistan, the U.S. has “given away all leverage in terms of getting him back” with the hasty pull out of troops, saying that “very troops that could go rescue him, if we find him, are now leaving.”
Waltz adds that Frerichs family is “absolutely distraught” over Biden’s troop withdrawal and that he and others who are concerned for Frerichs well-being have only received “a big collective sigh and shoulder shrug from the White House.
“We’ve given away all leverage in terms of getting him back, and by the way the very troops that could go rescue him, if we find him, are now leaving,” said Waltz. “So that family is just absolutely distraught as they should be, and we’re getting a big collective sigh and shoulder shrug from the White House.”
Aside from giving up a huge offensive position against neighboring China, Russia, and Iran, not to mention being a deterrent to existing Islamic terror threats in the region, by pulling out of Afghanistan, Biden leaves some 18,000 Afghan translators who “fought with us, stood beside us” will also be left behind to be hunted down by the Taliban.
Hope is running out for the interpreters an the navy veteran held captive.
“I want to be clear. If he doesn’t act, and he doesn’t get these people out, blood will be on his hands and on his administration hands, and . . "

Needs to be publicized, but not a vet, so will not comment.
Thank you, Norski
No foreigner in their right mind will ever help us again...DEM NAZIS DESTROY EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE IN THEIR PATH...
biden turns his back on a US Citizen/Vet
guess that means the terps(like the Yards we turned our back on) are now well and truly...
We have spent 20 years trying to put the Afghans in a position to defend themselves. It has not worked. I agree with the pull-out, which is the same thing Trump wanted to do.
It is apparent from Google that there have been efforts made to recover this Navy veteran. Obviously, those efforts should continue but at the same time, it is time for America to leave IMO. As our pullout approaches, we will see more reports of Taliban progress and the horrors to come. Part of that, like this man’s family, is sincere but part is the perpetual war lobby making a last ditch effort to keep us there.
Finally, in terms of abandoning our friends over there, such as the translators, these people were fighting for their own country, not just to help us, and they were paid to do it. Since the war is not over for them, perhaps they want to keep fighting. Or perhaps they want to emigrate to a neighboring country such as Pakistan. I see no reason to bring them here.
That’s part of the plan.
Install two blatantly incompetent individuals and their equally incompetent appointees, all easily manipulated. Therefore the anonymous bureaucrats run everything without any questions or pushback.
Get everyone to hate us.
And destroy the country from inside and out.
If China tries to take over,it will be interesting to see who is tougher..China or the Taliban???
China would suffer the same fate as the Soviet Union and the United States.
China would suffer the same fate as the Soviet Union and the United States.

You may be right, however, there is nothing stopping the Chinese from being as brutal as they want - like just killing everyone - there is no moral code to stop them and who is going to stop them should they proceed that way?
It would be a good spot to bloody their inexperienced troops as well.
Loosely reminds me of how John McCain showed disdain for the plight of possible still-living Vietnam POWs and MIAs years ago.
Why is Biden allowed to withdraw but Trump got pushback from the war hawks?
The Soviets were pretty brutal, though I do imagine the Chinese could and would go further in that regard. But in the end it would suck the life out of the Chinese just as it did the Soviets. And I imagine the US would do the same thing it did when the Soviets were there - supply the Afgans, including the Taliban, with state of the art hardware. The Russians took a serious beating from the stinger missiles we supplied them.
It’s well nigh impossible to really conquer a country like that over the longer haul.
The Chinese would never actually go to war because their whole society is predicated on the only sons supporting their parents, wives and children. Without that support, the whole society would begin to collapse as there are no western style safety nets.
The deaths of any significant number of men (sons) in a war would be tantamount to signing death warrants for CCP rulers who know this salient fact.
China’s gonna need a war just to get rid of this surplus and prevent domestic unrest from it

You fail to understand how Chinese culture works. Your solution will have the total opposite effect.; it will create massive domestic turmoil directed at the CCP. There is no way the deaths of hundreds of thousands of men would leave the CCP in power. Their rule is fragile enough as it is.
Once people see their sons dying they will howl for CCP blood. Killing off excess male population in Western Countries in a war may work (in some peoples’ minds) because there are social systems in place to take care of the families.
Dead son = no financial support for parents, so they become homeless and destitute.
One reason they are not married is not the lack of women per se, there are lots of unmarried women, in Chinese culture once a woman reaches a certain age - 30 I think, and is not married she is considered a “leftover” woman whom no man will marry.
China does NOT have a social support system; this is why there are more boys than girls - men are expected to support their family, wife children, parents, grand parents and the wife’s parents. The Chinese social support system is built into Chinese culture.

I often watch you tube videos of UK troops serving in Afghanistan. To think we didn’t even bother to inform their government that we were bugging out is so shameful I can barely stand it.
