| Our Mission: The FReeper Foxhole is dedicated to Veterans of our Nation's military forces and to others who are affected in their relationships with Veterans. In the FReeper Foxhole, Veterans or their family members should feel free to address their specific circumstances or whatever issues concern them in an atmosphere of peace, understanding, brotherhood and support. The FReeper Foxhole hopes to share with it's readers an open forum where we can learn about and discuss military history, military news and other topics of concern or interest to our readers be they Veteran's, Current Duty or anyone interested in what we have to offer. If the Foxhole makes someone appreciate, even a little, what others have sacrificed for us, then it has accomplished one of it's missions. We hope the Foxhole in some small way helps us to remember and honor those who came before us.

Thank you Mayor, enjoy veterans day!
Hey larry. Good to see you, enjoy your day.
Thanks Snippy!
And what better way to celebrate Veterans day than with a couple pics of veterans, well sort of:-)
A couple of pics of "veteran" vehicles from an affair at Wfright-Patterson AFB in October of this year.
First up a M-38 Jeep, with the M-16 halftrack BoozerII in the background.
And a 51 Chevy staff car?
Y'all have a great day

READ: Matthew 7:15-27
The floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall. Matthew 7:25 According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, some people in the US are building houses stronger than ever before.
Hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes have caused billions of dollars in property damage in states across the nation. So, at the urging of businesses, government, and hard-pressed insurance companies, some builders are constructing fortress-like homes with windows that can withstand 130 mile-per-hour winds, roof nails so strong they can only be cut off, and framing material that can weather the tremendous forces faced by a supersonic jet. In Bolingbrook, Illinois, a community damaged by a tornado in the 1990s, a company is constructing such a fortified house in hopes that the idea will catch on.
We who know the Lord Jesus realize that when it comes to building our spiritual foundation, it must be strong and secure. In todays Scripture, Christ made it clear what that foundation must be when He referred to these sayings of Mine (Matt. 7:24), which included His teaching in the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 57).
When we receive by faith Christs words and His work on our behalf, our spiritual lives are founded on the Rock, Christ Jesus.

Thank You!
Oh, rainy day today, ugh, glad I don't have to go out. It's not cold, just wet.
Have a good one.
PET RULES
To be posted VERY LOW on the refrigerator door - nose height.
Dear Dogs and Cats,
The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing
in the slightest.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years -- canine or feline attendance is not required.
The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough!
To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door:
To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.
Remember: In many ways, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
1. Eat less
2. Don't ask for money all the time
3 Are easier to train
4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends
7. Don't smoke or drink
8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don't want to wear your clothes
10. Don't need a "gazillion" dollars for college.
And finally,
11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.
LOL, good one! It's so true ;)
((LOL))
Oh, that's a keeper!

I'm a quilter, and I make lap quilts for our local VA hospital in Memphis, TN. Quilting is my only hobby.
90% of my fabric comes from Wal-Mart because of the great prices and they are the closet fabric source. BUT the quilters guild I belong to has learned that Wal-Mart is phasing out their fabric department nationwide. They have done away with them in some areas already. Wal-Mart is the ONLY source of fabric in my small town. It would mean a 20-30 minute drive to get to the next 2 sources of fabric. I'm a widow and on a fixed income so shopping at Wal-Mart for their prices and location is a must. Having to pay higher prices for fabric and gas will impact how many lap quilts I can do in a year for the VA hospital or for my own projects. I've done about 10 for the VA so far this year.
We are asking that people call 800 Wal-Mart and ask them NOT to discontinue the fabric departments.
From the Edwards AFB show this year, I think?

Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17
In 2005, the surprising Boys Town High School Cowboys carried a perfect record into a Nebraska state semifinal football game. But more important, the players had taken giant strides toward overcoming their family backgrounds of abuse, abandonment, and neglect that had brought them to the safe, caring environment of Boys Town.
Their coach, Kevin Kush, believes that football is a way to build character, and says: Victories at Boys Town are not won on a present-day athletic field. They are won years from now in cities and towns across this country when our players become productive citizens. His team plays to win while pursuing higher goals of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
Paul held a similar long-range view of our experience as followers of Christ. In the midst of personal setbacks, he urged the Corinthians not to lose heart (2 Cor. 4:17). In spite of loss, we are to pursue the higher goals of Gods kingdom now, anticipating our eternal triumph in Christ.
When the Boys Town Cowboys lost their playoff game 10-0, they were disappointed but not devastated. Their coach had taught them to keep going because their true victory in life is still to come. And so is ours in Christ.
That looks vaguely like the T-46 the USAF cancelled in the late '80s.
Your handle is going to be current again, from the looks of things. The Senate Democrats are already getting real "snippy."
LOL! I thought about that. Heard it on the radio the day after elections. I forget who I was listening too but they kept saying the Dems were getting snippy!
Thanks Gail. Good to see you. Is there no Joann (sp?) Fabrics around you anywhere? How about buying fabric online? I don't know about their prices but I looked at a few and they are almost always having sales of somekind. I put in "quilting fabric" in google. Lots there.
Yes, it could be bought on line, but the cost plus S & H makes it to expensive for me to buy.. I suspect that is the case with many people on fixed incomes. I only order online if that is the only way I can find a specific piece of fabric. The nearest place is Hancocks, about 20 mins away, and the neighborhood is not that nice. Hobby Lobby is over 30 mins away but is in a nice area. Both charge $2.00 or more per yard for the same fabrics Wal-Mart sells then you have to factor gas into it..making cost a problem yet again. There are not that many fabric stores in or around the Memphis area...I'm 20 miles outside of Memphis.
What's the average cost of the walmart fabric?

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Hebrews 10:22
Pastor Rich McCarrell explained to his young son how his secretary screened his phone calls at the church office. He said, If your mom calls me and Im busy, the church secretary will tell her what Im doing, and then Mom will decide if I should be interrupted or if she should leave a message.
Then he said to his son, If you call me, youll be put right through. I want you to know that you can call me anytime, because youre my son.
A few days later, the church secretary put a call through to the pastor from his son. He said hello and asked what he could do for his son. He replied, Nothing, Dad. I just wanted to make sure I could actually get through to you that easily.
We too always have instant access to our Father in heaven. Theres no secretary to screen His calls. No need for a decision on whether or not we should bother Him. No need to leave a message so that He can get back to us later. The psalmist reminds us, The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry (Ps. 34:15).
Because Jesus has provided the way by His death and resurrection, you can have boldness and confidence as you draw near to your Father (Heb. 4:16).

Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead. John 21:14
Truth is truth even if it doesnt seem to affect our lives directly. But the truth that God gives us in the Bible not only opens heavens door for us, it also changes our lives.
Ron Sider, a leading evangelical advocate for the poor, tells about a conversation he had with German theologian Wolfhart Pannenberg. As they were discussing the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, the theologian emphatically declared, The evidence for Jesus resurrection is so strong that nobody would question it except for two things: It is a very unusual event, and second, if you believe it happened, you have to change the way you live.
Thats a challenging statement. If we really believe Jesus rose again, that belief mandates a change of life. Peters life was turned upside-down after he saw the resurrected Christ. Once an impetuous fisherman-disciple who denied even knowing Christ after His arrest, he became a bold witness for Him (John 18:17,25,27; Acts 2:14-36).
Has belief in Jesus resurrection changed your life? Are your goals and priorities different than they were? Are you kinder, more patient, more forgiving? Ask God what He wants to do in you, and then cooperate with Him in that change.

ROFL. Hey Sam, how's this look for our retirement home?
Good evening feather. We're getting ready for a storm down here. Cold front moving through. Only going to be in the mid sixties the next few days. :-)
She's a pretty ship.
Hi snippy, I just now logged on, lucky me-here you are.
Oh, it has been rainy and wet for days on end now. Temps never get of the 40s. I hear it's gonna be that way until something can get that front moving.
I did see you guys are in for some rough weather. Looks very nasty. Hang on to your hats. Be safe now.
LOL, we have some pretty strange get ups around here, nothing like this hot number though.
Glad you mention Glen Beck thing, I am going to watch it.
Take care and see you.
