Now that Ron Paul has achieved electoral respectability in the Republican primaries, the media is in high dudgeon over his extremism. Paul, according to the procurators of good taste at the New York Times, "long ago disqualified himself for the presidency" by, among other things, "peddling claptrap proposals" such as "cutting a third of the federal budget."

No, he disqualified himself for his interventionism against US treaties by going to Iran’s state propaganda media and denouncing the US and her allies. He disqualified himself every time he goes on ‘the father of the truther movement’s’ (Alex Jones) radio program or Stormfront’s little front group (the Council of Conservative(sic) Citizens) program. He disqualifies himself when he twists the very meaning of the Constitution to say that the Bill of Right protections do not extend to limiting state governments from interfering with those rights. He disqualified himself by partnering up with Barney Frank and proposing a committee of mostly George Soros’ people to oversee the gutting of the military..... and so on and so on and so on...
