Your last point is the key- I wonder how many “dues Paying” NRA members that have vowed to walk actually thought about writing an email or a letter to the NRA? Probably only a few.
They complain about policies there organization makes, walk out and “help” the left w/o them doing squat... With firends like these, we do not need enemies.
Stay with the program, flex some grass roots muscle, write a note, be counted. Duh.
No organization is w/o flaw, and the NRA has its share I know.

I agree with you. While I despise Harry Reid my guess is the NRA knows that none of the NRA members will ever vote for Reid and the NRA can fulfill their payback obligation of endorcement knowing it won’t mean squat.
It’s a risky game they are playing and the NRA board needs to know that their membership numbers will suffer. I can’t imagine Ted Nugent supporting this.
