Sorry, it will not happen. Sounds more like a Ron Paul SciFi novel.

Your tight, politicians are politicians ... but voters are voters. Politicians will never support smaller government and voters have short memories. Approximately 85% of the elected Federal Congress are politicians ... there are few who are Americans and believers in the American system of government.

Ron Paul doesn't have a snowballs chance in H..E..double hockey sticks of winning the Republican nomination. And this is where he has to be to win. The grassroots effort works better in State and Local elections ... at the Federal level grassroots has a hard time with third parties and they are always spoilers.

Peacetime may be a better time for Ron Paul and his belief of making a sustained run and a win. Not wartime. Too many people realize this is a war against terrorism ... not a game where you can pick up your marbles and just go home. I like Paul's belief in small government and getting out of the UN and abolishing the IRS, however his inability to see the threat posed to this country and the world by terrorism and fanatical believers of Islam nullifies any ability to achieve the other beliefs and goals at the present time.

It's not about winning, it's about changing the nature of the debate. Thanks to Paul, Republicans will no longer talk about "tax credits, vouchers, or holding the line on spending." They're going to talk about abolishing entire obsolete bureaucracies, agencies, and at least reforming the tax code. And being more cautious on foreign policy and protecting our sovereignty.

I don't care if Paul wins because he has already won, in a sense. He has achieved his place in history, because has restored the old Taft-Goldwater-Reagan wing of the GOP. The GOP will have no choice but to court Paul, let him speak at the convention, get his endorsement, so whoever is the GOP nominee will have the coalition needed to beat Hillary. We need Paul and his supporters, this is what it's all about! 20 years from now future Republicans will embrace him just as Republicans are embracing Reagan's legacy now.
