The one pictured below is considered "the Cadillac" of implants. There are others, but this is the ultimate. It works by sqeezing the bulb in the lower abdomen. It forces fluid into the rods, resulting in an erection. The release valve is in the scrotum.
I knew a patient once who had one put in. A week later he was back in the hospital to have it removed. I asked his urologist if was infected. He told me no, but his wife wouldn't let him in the house with it....

After my Dad had surgery to remove his cancerous prostate, his implant eroded through his, um, well, the end of his maleness. It had to be removed in an emergency surgery. Accept what you have, and be happy.
