Dear friends,

You will find herewith the [notice] for the celebrations of the centenary of the motu proprio of pope saint Pius X on sacred music which will take place in Paris next November with the exceptional participation of cardinal Medina Estevez, former prefect of the congregation for divine worship.

Organized in collaboration with the Una Voce association and the Saint Eugene – Saint Cecil parish of Paris, those celebrations will include concerts of sacred music, an international conference of liturgy and a pontifical mass celebrated by cardinal Medina Estevez who will also give a talk. Around the theme "Liturgy, participation and sacred music" this event will allow all the faithful to deepen their knowledge of the sacred liturgy of the Roman Church. We hope to meet many of you there.

You will also find the kind foreword given by cardinal Francis George archbishop of Chicago to our latest proceedings on “Liturgy and the sacred” which is a very important encouragement for us to continue our work so that the liturgy is better understood and loved.

Be ensured of our will to serve the Church faithfully,

Loïc Mérian - president of C.I.E.L.
