Also, in Orthodoxy and the Ecumenical Movement (Etna: Center for Traditionalist Orthodox Studies, 1997, forthcoming), Archimandrite Cyprian offers these brilliant and penetrating insights..

Anyone from Etna can offer their insights to themselves and skip me. They are not what I consider to be Orthodoxy. Even our local ROCOR church rejects Etna as far too reclusive and paranoid. From the likes of Etna come the ideas about priests not trimming their beards and young girls never cutting their hair.

In fact it was a priest at the local ROCOR parish, from Etna originally, who was finally booted by the parish. They are not canonical and they think the rest of us are all near-pagans.

Most importantly, when you put "tradition" above love, you have lost Christ. Etna would do well to review the story of the Pharisees and take notes.

Well, in my branch, Priests are not allowed to trim their beard, and we use the old calendar as well, we are VERY Traditional....most of the newer inovations were brought into Orthodoxy by the Greeks. We also have NO pews in our church. So...I do like the traditionalist views. Now, the only rule i know of for women, is that they must wear long dresses to church, and cover their heads with a veil...for modesty of course.
