Music is a powerful tool. It has been proven, that various styles of beat and tones can change "moods". there is no question that Satan can and would use this tool to promote rebellion. However, there are 2 sides in the battle. If you were on the battlefield in the 18th century, you would hear fifes in both armies playing identical tunes ie. The British Grenadiers. The words for the British army was different from the Continentals. Just as in the battle for the Lord, we have 2 armies, and same styles of music. The words to the tunes are different, but may sond the same.

The tune, or beat aren't what's satanic, but the words.

Satan will not glorify God. If rock instills rebellion, mocks God and promotes sin in it's WORDS, then it's satanic. On the other hand, if it instills a motivation to do Gods will, promotes unity and an alter call in the end...then it cannot be from satan, but a tool from God!

Some people can the traditional Hymns sung operatic, like on BBN, I cannot. Some like classical (If you like Beethoven, becareful, his later works were a dark time for him!) don't preach it to be the gospel! If you don't like rock, do not proclaim it to be a sin to those who haven't been convicted by the Holy Spirit. It's our job to minister, not condemn.

Lastly, remember, God can use a donkey (Balaam's) and he would make the rocks cry out. He can use Rock to get His message out that He Loves us!
