Methinks you think more highly of Chick Publications than you do of your KJV. You quote the Chick web site much more than you quote the KJV. Where is your first love?
Good question! When I was a new believer, I thought Chick tracts were wonderful, spot-on, and just plain good in every way. I even went so far as to visit their main office near the Ontario, CA airport when I was out there on business.
Now, after nearly ten years of growing in the Lord, many of his tracts seem silly. (The KJV-only stuff at least borders on heresy.) The realization really struck home on Halloween night two or three years ago. I'd purchased 100 of Chick's "BOO!" tracts to hand out with candy to the neighbor kids who would be coming to the door. After some prayerful reconsideration, there was no way I could do that.
Those tracts remain on the shelf. This former customer is no longer on his mailing list.
