Westcott and Hort part 3
An Understandable History of The Bible ^ | 1987 | Dr. Samuel C Gipp Th.D

Westcott's Peace-Movement

No true Christian loves war. A Bible believer takes the premillenial view and realizes that war is caused by the sinful nature of mankind-James 4:1. He understands that this will all be changed at Christ's return-Philippians 3:21.

No true Christian loves war.

Indeed. However, a true Christian hates tyranny even more.

A Bible believer takes the premillenial view and realizes that war is caused by the sinful nature of mankind...

Oh? Then how do you explain Revelation 12:7, or Revelation 19:11?

How do you explain the many instances in which the Lord commanded the Israelites to make war upon the Canaanites?

This is an example of silly, vapid "New Age" philosophy creeping into modern "Christianity."

A question sir: Do you endourse Dr. Gipp's comments and theology on all points posted?

A question that anticipates an affirmative answer from you on the first question: What does one make of Christians who affirm the AD 1611 KJV as the word of God to the English speaking people to the exclusion of all other English versions, who Strongly dissagree on the basis of that translation that Dr. Gipp's eschatological statements are accurate?

i am deeply concerned that you would choose to defend the King James Version based on "scholars" who have been endoursed and published by a man who has been thoroughly discredited by the people he has in the past endoursed. In passing i mention these three

1) John Todd
2) Alberto Romero Rivera
3) Rebecca Brown, M.D.

Mr. Chick is an insult and a stumbling block to those legitimate, reputable scholars, such as Zane Hodges at Dallas Theological Seminary, and Wilbur N. Pickering who have argued for the King James Version on the basis of true scholarship, even if one could debate their findings.

i am also concerned that association with Mr. Chick may hurt your own credibility on this forum. You may have noticed that you get very little response for or against the position that you advocate, yet strong belief on both sides of the question exist among the posters in this forum.

I know Zane Hodges, Zane Hodges was a professor of mine, and Samuel Gipp... he's no Zane Hodges.

Are you up for this agreement? I think it would be a good idea in light of recent skirmishes between us.

AGREEMENT: Illbay, will not post to me, flag me to any post or thread or discuss me online again and I will do the same for him.

If you agree acknowledge in a final post to me. And I will accept in a final post to you.
